Mack's Original Soft Foam Earplugs 50 Pair, 33dB NRR — Ultra-Soft Tapered Foam for Sleeping & Travel

Mack's Original Soft Foam Earplugs are ultra-soft, tapered foam plugs that reduce noise up to 33 decibels while prioritizing all-night comfort and simple dispensing from a reusable jar.

These earplugs combine low-pressure, slow-rebound foam with a skinned surface and a tapered shape to make insertion easier and increase comfort for prolonged wear. With a high NRR of 33 dB, they are engineered to lower distracting or damaging sound levels in many everyday situations, from shared bedrooms and travel to loud events and noisy work tasks. The package includes 50 pairs stored in a flip-top jar for quick access and better hygiene than loose foam packets.

How do these earplugs feel when worn for long stretches?

Their ultra-soft, low-pressure foam is designed to expand slowly and reduce pressure inside the ear canal, making them gentler than firmer plugs. The tapered profile helps guide the plug for a comfortable seal without deep insertion, which many users find preferable for side sleeping and extended use.

• Slow-rebound foam reduces sudden expansion discomfort.
• Skinned surface limits foam residue and improves hygiene.
• Tapered shape eases insertion and reduces ear canal pressure.

What level of noise reduction can I expect, and where are they suitable?

With a Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) of 33 dB, these plugs significantly lower ambient sound, helping turn louder environments into tolerable levels. They’re suitable for reducing nuisance noise like snoring, city sounds, or loud appliances, and can also be used where higher noise exposure is present, though not as a replacement for job-specific hearing protection solutions when required.

• 33 dB NRR for strong general noise attenuation.
• Useful for sleeping, studying, travel, concerts, and light industrial use.
• Not a substitute for certified job-site hearing programs; follow workplace requirements.

How do I get the best fit and maintain hygiene?

For optimal performance, roll each plug into a small crease-free cylinder, gently pull your ear upward and back to open the canal, insert the plug and hold until it expands. The skinned exterior reduces residue and the flip-top jar keeps unused pairs cleaner than individual loose packing.

• Roll tightly for smallest insertion profile, then allow full expansion.
• Use the jar to store unused pairs and keep them clean between uses.
• Replace plugs when soiled or no longer expanding properly.

What features make these different from other foam earplugs?

Mack’s Original Soft Foam plugs combine a very soft, slow-expanding foam with a skinned finish and a user-friendly storage jar. The teal color and molded taper are designed for comfort and ease of use, and the product is proudly made in the USA by a widely recognized ear protection brand.

• Super-soft, low-pressure foam for comfort during long wear.
• Skinned surface for cleaner insertion and less residue.
• Convenient flip-top jar for quick dispensing and storage.

Who is this for: These earplugs are suited to people who want a high level of noise reduction without sacrificing comfort — ideal for light-to-moderate industrial tasks, travelers, students, shift workers, side sleepers, and anyone seeking quieter nights. They work well when you need reliable sound dampening for sleep or focus, but if you face regulated workplace noise exposures, consult site-specific hearing protection guidance.
