With a simple plug-in installation and the free Lutron app, you can create schedules, scenes, and geofenced automations that make daily routines effortless.

How do I set up the Caséta Smart Hub with my home network?

Installation is straightforward: plug the hub into an outlet and connect it to your router via Ethernet. After downloading the Lutron app, follow the in-app prompts to add the hub and begin pairing Caséta dimmers, switches, and shades. The hub communicates using Lutron’s Clear Connect technology, so your smart lighting won’t compete with Wi‑Fi traffic.

• Plug-in power—no complex wiring required
• Router connection via included Ethernet cable
• Step-by-step pairing in the Lutron app
• Supports up to 75 Caséta devices for phased expansion

The hub stores your scenes and schedules centrally, so automations run even when your phone is offline. You can also get notifications if you leave lights on or create time-based triggers tied to sunrise and sunset.

• One-touch scenes to change multiple devices at once
• Time-of-day scheduling and sunrise/sunset triggers
• Geo-fencing to automate arrival/departure actions
