LovePads Clear Desk Mat 16x36 in — 1.5mm Clear PVC Table Protector, Trim-to-Fit Scratch & Spill Resistant

LovePads Clear Desk Mat 16x36 in is a transparent, BPA-free PVC table protector that shields surfaces from scratches, spills, stains and daily wear while remaining easy to clean and cut-to-fit for custom tables.

Keep tabletops looking new without hiding their finish: this 16 x 36 inch, 1.5mm-thick clear desk mat provides a low-profile protective layer that sits flat on wood, glass, marble or laminate. It’s designed for everyday use in kitchens, dining areas, home offices and multi-use spaces where visuals matter and protection is essential. Lightweight yet sturdy, the mat balances slip resistance with flexibility so you can trim it to size or layer a placemat for added heat protection.

How does the LovePads mat protect my table during everyday use?

The LovePads clear mat forms a durable barrier between your tabletop and common hazards — utensils, cups, craft supplies and minor impacts. It resists scuffs and stains while preventing liquids from reaching the underlying surface, so cleaners and polishes won’t be needed as often.

• Made from BPA-free, odorless PVC that’s non-toxic and safe for family use
• 1.5mm thickness offers a firm yet flexible layer that resists indentations
• Protects against scratches, spills, stains and light heat exposure
• Suitable for wood, glass, marble, laminate and painted finishes

Can I customize the size and shape of this desk mat?

Yes — the LovePads mat is easily trimmed with scissors or a utility knife so you can get a precise fit for irregular or nonstandard tables. The material is forgiving and won’t fray, enabling clean edges for rectangular, oval or custom layouts.

• Mark measurements with a pencil, then cut along the line for a clean edge
• Trim slightly larger if you prefer edge coverage; small size variances are normal
• Works well under placemats or hot pads for layered protection

How do I clean and maintain the clear table protector?

Cleaning is quick: a damp cloth or sponge removes most food, drink and craft residue without harsh chemicals. Prompt wiping prevents staining from strongly colored liquids, and regular care keeps the transparent look bright so the surface underneath remains visible and attractive.

• Wipe with a damp cloth and mild soap when needed; rinse and dry
• Avoid abrasive scrubbers to prevent surface scuffs
• For hot dishes, use a trivet or placemat to reduce heat exposure

How heat resistant and durable is the 1.5mm thickness?

The 1.5mm LovePads mat is designed for everyday protection and moderate temperature resistance; it holds shape under normal household use. For higher heat tolerance, the brand also offers a 2mm option rated for increased heat resistance — choose based on the demands of your table routine.

• 1.5mm provides solid protection against daily wear and light heat
• Consider 2mm if you frequently place hot plates or cookware directly on the mat
• To extend lifespan, use a dedicated heat pad or trivet beneath hot items

Who is this for: Homeowners, renters and businesses that want to preserve the appearance of their tables without concealing the surface. Ideal for families with kids, craft enthusiasts, remote workers, and hosts who need a transparent, low-maintenance protector. If you want a clear, cut-to-fit, BPA-free plastic mat that balances visibility and protection, the LovePads 16x36 in desk mat is a practical choice.
