LCSEVEN Squirrel Proof Bird Feeder - 3.6 lb Metal Hanging Seed Feeder with Weight-Activated, Chew-Resistant Design

LCSEVEN Squirrel Proof Bird Feeder is a heavy-duty, weight-activated metal seed feeder that keeps squirrels out while feeding finches, cardinals, blue jays, and other wild birds.

Designed for backyard birdwatchers who want more feeding time and less maintenance, this powder-coated metal feeder combines a clear seed tube, one-handed refill access, and a patented double squirrel-proof mechanism. Its 3.6 lb capacity reduces refill frequency while the chew-resistant finish and spring system stop clever pests from accessing seeds. The feeder balances practicality and durability so you can enjoy a steady flow of wild birds without constant upkeep.

How does the weight-activated squirrel protection work?

The feeder uses a dual-action system: a spring-loaded perch and a weight trigger that close the feeding ports when heavy animals like squirrels step on it, but stay open for light birds. The patented spring design makes it difficult for squirrels to hang on and force the ports open. This mechanical, non-toxic solution prevents seed loss without harming wildlife.

• Patented spring and perch combo shuts ports under heavier weight
• Mechanical action requires no bait or chemicals
• Failsafe design minimizes accidental closures for small birds

What are the material and maintenance benefits of this metal feeder?

Constructed from powder-coated metal, the feeder resists rust and chewing, extending its useful life outdoors. The clear seed tube lets you monitor levels quickly, and the simple latch lets you refill with one hand without removing the unit. Cleaning is straightforward—rinse with water and air dry—so the feeder stays hygienic with minimal effort.

• Powder-coated metal resists rust and rodent chewing
• Clear tube shows seed level at a glance
• One-handed latch for fast refills and easy maintenance

Will the 3.6 lb capacity suit my backyard needs?

The 3.6-pound seed capacity is sized to reduce the number of refills while still fitting typical feeder hooks and brackets. It’s large enough to support several small birds daily or to sustain a mixed group of medium-sized birds for multiple days. If you host heavy visitor traffic, capacity helps maintain feed availability between refills.

• 3.6 lb holds extra seed for fewer top-ups
• Clear tube helps plan refill timing based on bird activity
• Compact enough for standard garden and patio mounting points

How easy is it to set up and use the LCSEVEN feeder?

Setup is quick: hang from a suitable bracket or branch and engage the latch. The one-handed refill makes seed changes and topping off simple, and the feed openings are accessible for routine cleaning. The unit’s durable finish reduces long-term maintenance and the visible seed tube helps you stay on top of refills.

• Hang on a branch or bracket—no tools required for basic setup
• One-handed refill latch lets you pour seed without taking it down
• Rinse-clean design keeps upkeep minimal

Who is this feeder for? The LCSEVEN Squirrel Proof Bird Feeder is ideal for casual and dedicated birdwatchers who want a low-maintenance, long-lasting feeder that prioritizes seed conservation and durability. It suits homeowners with moderate to high bird traffic who want to deter squirrels without traps or repellents, and anyone who prefers a metal, chew-proof alternative to plastic feeders. If you need a feeder that combines visible seed levels, a sizeable 3.6 lb capacity, and a reliable mechanical squirrel-defense system, this model fits those needs while keeping cleaning and refills straightforward.
