KOVIEDE Watercolor Paper 8.5x11 100 Sheets — 102LB/230gsm Cold-Pressed, Acid-Free

KOVIEDE 100-sheet 8.5x11 watercolor paper is a heavyweight, cold-pressed 102LB (230gsm) pad built for classrooms, hobbyists, and studio practice that minimizes warping and supports multiple media.

This pack contains 100 individual sheets of standard letter-size paper engineered for reliable performance with water-based paints, colored pencils, graphite and light marker work. The paper’s cold-pressed front provides a subtle tooth that grabs pigment while the smooth back keeps sketches and printed outlines crisp. Because each sheet is acid-free and archival, finished pieces retain color longer and resist yellowing over time.

How well does this paper handle wet media like watercolor and gouache?

The 230gsm weight and sturdy fiber content reduce buckling during washes and repeated layering, so you can work with heavier water loads and build pigment without immediate warping. The cold-pressed texture offers good absorption and pigment distribution for granulating and lift techniques.

• 102LB/230gsm weight resists buckling during moderate washes
• Cold-pressed surface helps pigment adhere and blend
• Acid-free composition preserves color longevity
• Single-sheet format allows stretching or taping as needed

Can I use this paper in the classroom or for high-volume practice?

Yes — the 100-sheet count and economical packaging make this pad ideal for lessons, group projects, or repetitive practice. The standard 8.5x11 size fits most desks and printers, simplifying distribution and workflow for teachers and students.

• Bulk 100-sheet pack supports multiple classes or long-term practice
• Letter size fits standard printers and copiers for outlines
• Durable sheets withstand student handling and repeated erasing
• Affordable option for workshops and community programs

Will this paper work with pencils, ink, and printed patterns?

The paper’s smooth reverse side and buffered surface make it versatile for dry media and light ink work. You can print sketches or coloring templates on the sheets and still use the opposite side for graphite or colored-pencil detail without heavy show-through.

• Smooth back side delivers clean lines for graphite and pencil shading
• Printer-compatible 8.5x11 format for outlines and stencils
• Minimal bleed-through for light marker use and ink pens
• Acid-free stock keeps printed and drawn work archival

How should I store and care for these sheets to keep artwork vibrant?

Keep unused sheets flat in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent any dimensional changes or fading. For finished pieces, store between clean boards or in a portfolio; framed or matted works will gain the most protection from environmental exposure.

• Store flat, away from moisture and direct sunlight
• Use heavyweight backing boards when transporting finished work
• Mats and UV-filtering frames extend color life
• Handle edges lightly to avoid fingerprints on toothed surface
