Kimbluth 10-gauge duplex tinned copper marine wire is a 100-foot, UL-rated, corrosion-resistant boat and automotive cable built for reliable electrical connections in marine and outdoor environments.
This heavy-duty 10 AWG duplex cable combines tinned oxygen-free copper conductors with rugged PVC insulation to resist corrosion, salt spray, gasoline, battery acid, abrasion and high temperatures. Designed to meet UL 1426 and SAE ABYC guidance, the cable works across boat systems, solar arrays, in-vehicle installations and speaker or accessory circuits where durable, low-resistance wiring is required.
The conductors are made from oxygen-free copper plated with tin, which slows oxidation and reduces galvanic corrosion in humid or salty air. The specially formulated PVC jacket adds another protective barrier, keeping moisture and contaminants away from the metal and prolonging service life.
This duplex wire is rated up to 600V and is designed for elevated temperatures — up to 150°C when dry and 75°C when wet — making it suitable for many onboard power and accessory circuits. Always verify load and fuse protection against your system’s actual current draw and application-specific requirements.
The duplex construction provides two conductors in one jacket for simplified routing and cleaner installations. Its flexibility and abrasion-resistant jacket let you run the cable through tight spaces, clamp it to bulkheads, or terminate it with common marine connectors and lugs.
Manufactured to the UL 1426 boat wire standard and aligned with SAE ABYC recommendations, this cable is intended for marine environments but also fits automotive, solar, and general-purpose wiring tasks. Its construction supports lighting circuits, battery runs, speakers, and other low- to mid-voltage systems.
Who is this for: Kimbluth’s 10 AWG duplex tinned-copper cable is aimed at boat owners, marine electricians, RV enthusiasts, solar installers, and DIYers who need a resilient, code-conscious wire for onboard power, battery runs, speakers and outdoor systems. It’s a practical choice where corrosion resistance, high-temperature tolerance and a tidy two-conductor layout matter.
Q: Is this wire suitable for battery-to-panel solar runs?
A: Yes — the 10 AWG duplex cable handles many mid-current solar runs; confirm voltage drop and system current before sizing.
Q: Can I solder or crimp this tinned copper wire?
A: Both are possible: tinned strands accept soldering well and also crimp cleanly with proper marine-grade lugs.
