Kidde Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Detector — Hardwired 3-Pack with Sealed 10-Year Battery and Interconnect

The Kidde 30CUA10 is a hardwired smoke and carbon monoxide alarm with a built-in 10-year battery backup designed to deliver fast, reliable alerts for homes and rental properties.

This triple pack combines AC power with a sealed 10-year backup battery, advanced sensing technology and interconnect capability so multiple alarms sound together when one unit detects danger. Engineered to improve early warning—with up to 29% faster smoke detection in internal testing—and featuring an 85-decibel horn and bright red LED visual alert, the 30CUA10 aims to reduce false trips from common household sources while meeting current UL and FCC standards.

How does this alarm detect both smoke and carbon monoxide?

The 30CUA10 uses dedicated sensing systems for particulate smoke and electrochemical CO detection so it can monitor both hazards simultaneously. Hardware and firmware combine to distinguish nuisance sources and trigger appropriate alarms quickly.

• Photoelectric sensor for smoldering and flaming smoke detection
• Electrochemical CO sensor calibrated for low-ppm response
• 85 dB audible alarm plus bright red LED for visual confirmation
• Designed to reduce false alarms from steam and cooking

What power and backup options does the Kidde 30CUA10 offer?

This model runs on standard 120V AC house wiring and includes a permanently sealed 10-year lithium backup battery, eliminating yearly battery replacements while maintaining detection during outages. The sealed battery is intended to last the device lifetime as part of Kidde’s design and warranty plan.

• Hardwired 120V AC connection for continuous power
• Sealed 10-year backup battery built into each unit
• One-time installation reduces maintenance and replacement costs
• 10-year limited warranty from date of purchase**

Can these alarms be interconnected and will they meet code requirements?

Yes—the 30CUA10 supports interconnect capability so that linked Kidde alarms sound simultaneously if any unit detects smoke or CO, improving whole-home notification. It’s tested to current UL 217 and UL 2034 editions and complies with FCC requirements for reliable operation.

• Interconnect compatible with specified Kidde models for whole-home alerts***
• Meets UL 217 10th Edition and UL 2034 5th Edition standards
• FCC-compliant design for electrical reliability
• Installation may satisfy many residential code and insurance expectations—verify local requirements

How easy is installation and ongoing maintenance?

Installation requires hardwiring to the home’s 120V circuit and should follow local electrical codes; for many homeowners, a licensed electrician is recommended. Day-to-day maintenance is minimal because the backup battery is sealed and the unit is engineered to limit nuisance alarms.

• Mounting hardware and wiring harness compatible with standard junction boxes
• Test/silence button for functional checks and temporary alarm suppression
• Low maintenance—no yearly battery changes for the sealed 10-year backup
• Refer to the User Guide for model-specific interconnect wiring and installation details

Who is this for: Homeowners, landlords, property managers and contractors who want a code-conscious, low-maintenance solution for combined smoke and carbon monoxide monitoring will appreciate the Kidde 30CUA10’s hardwired reliability, long-life sealed battery and interconnect capability. Choose this 3-pack when you need consistent whole-home protection with reduced nuisance alarms and straightforward upkeep.
