KES Matte Black Pop-Up Sink Drain for Vessel and Undermount Sinks, Fits 1.6–1.9" Holes, All-Metal Rustproof

This pop-up drain from KES pairs a matte black finish with all-metal construction to provide a long-lasting, leak-resistant solution for sinks without overflow. Built from thickened brass and 304 stainless steel and supplied with multiple silicone gaskets, the S2008D-BK is engineered to resist corrosion, scratching and common wear. Its sizing and included adapter make it an adaptable choice for many modern bathroom installations.

Will this drain fit my vessel sink and what are the exact size limits?

The KES S2008D-BK is built specifically for sinks that do not have an overflow opening. It fits sink drain holes with a diameter between 1.6 inches and 1.9 inches and accepts sink thicknesses up to 1.97 inches. Make sure to measure your drain opening and bowl depth before ordering to confirm compatibility.

• Compatible drain hole diameter: 1.6"–1.9"
• Maximum sink thickness: 1.97"
• Overall drain length: 8.78" for adequate reach into trap area
• Pop-up stopper diameter: 2.6" to cover the opening

How durable and rust-resistant is the KES matte black finish?

This drain uses a blend of thickened brass and type 304 stainless steel with a high-quality matte black coating to reduce scratching and tarnishing. Because all components are metal—no plastic parts—the assembly stands up better to daily use and moisture exposure that typically causes corrosion in lesser drains.

• All-metal construction: brass + 304 stainless steel
• No plastic parts to degrade over time
• Finish treated to resist scratches, corrosion, and tarnishing
• Hard-wearing components reduce need for replacement

Does this drain prevent leaks and how is it sealed?

KES includes multiple high-quality silicone gaskets and a three-piece sealing ring system to create a tight, long-lasting seal between the drain assembly and sink. The thickened gaskets are designed to resist oxidation and maintain compression, helping prevent water migration around the drain body.

• Three-piece sealing ring design for improved leak resistance
• Thickened silicone gaskets included to prevent oxidation
• Precision-machined metal surfaces ensure snug fittings
• Designed for vessel or undermount sinks without overflow

How does installation work and will it connect to my P-trap?

The S2008D-BK comes with an adapter gasket that allows the 1 1/4" tailpiece to mate directly to a 1 1/2" P-trap, eliminating the need for extra fittings in many installations. The unit’s overall length and tailpiece nut dimensions make it straightforward to thread into standard drain plumbing while offering enough reach for correct trap alignment.

• Includes 1 1/4" to 1 1/2" gasket for direct P-trap connection
• Tailpiece nut diameter: 1.26" for standard fitting engagement
• Overall length: 8.78" to reach common trap locations
• Pop-up mechanism installs without external linkage or lift rod

Who is this for: The KES S2008D-BK pop-up drain is ideal for homeowners, renovators and tradespeople fitting modern vessel or undermount sinks that lack an overflow. Choose this drain if you want a matte black, all-metal assembly with strong corrosion resistance, multiple sealing elements to reduce leaks, and a ready-made adapter for standard P-trap connections. It’s a practical upgrade for bathrooms seeking a clean aesthetic and dependable performance without plastic components.
