Kasa Smart 1080p Pan-Tilt Indoor Security Camera EC71 — 360° View, Motion & Two-Way Audio

The Kasa EC71 is a 1080p pan-and-tilt indoor camera that streams HD video, tracks motion, and offers two-way audio with local or cloud storage options.

Designed to cover an entire room, the Kasa Smart EC71 combines 360° horizontal rotation and 113° vertical tilt with night vision and motion-tracking to keep an eye on babies, pets, and living spaces. It connects to 2.4 GHz Wi‑Fi for live viewing on your smartphone or compatible voice-display devices, and stores footage locally on microSD or via Kasa Care cloud plans.

How much of a room can the EC71 actually see?

The EC71 is built to scan full rooms instead of a single fixed spot. Pan and tilt mechanics let the camera sweep horizontally and vertically, and a Patrol Mode can move the view between preset positions on a schedule.

• 360° horizontal coverage and 113° vertical range
• Patrol Mode cycles between saved viewpoints automatically
• Use the app to manually reposition for real-time checks

Will I get alerted to people, pets, or a crying baby?

The camera uses motion and person-detection algorithms to send timely push alerts when activity is detected, plus an optional baby-crying notification specifically tuned for nursery monitoring. These notifications help you prioritize real events over harmless movement.

• Instant push alerts for motion and person detection
• Optional baby-crying detection for nursery use
• Adjust sensitivity and notification preferences in the app

Can I see and talk to someone through the camera remotely?

Yes — the EC71 supports full two-way audio so you can hear and speak through the camera from your phone. That makes it useful for calming a pet, checking on a child, or communicating with a visitor while away from home.

• Built-in microphone and speaker for real-time conversation
• Initiate live view and two-way talk from the Kasa app
• Works with Echo Show and Google Home displays for hands-free viewing

How do I keep and review recorded footage?

The EC71 supports continuous or event-based recording to a local microSD card (up to 256 GB) plus optional cloud storage via Kasa Care. Choose local storage for simple, private archiving or cloud service for 30‑day history and advanced event summaries.

• Accepts microSD cards up to 256 GB (card not included)
• Kasa Care cloud plans provide 30-day history and video summaries
• Download clips or view stored events from the app anytime

Who is this camera for? The Kasa EC71 suits homeowners and renters who want a flexible indoor surveillance solution to watch rooms, children, or pets without complex setup. It appeals to users who value a wide field of view, night vision up to 30 feet, two-way audio, and choice of local or cloud storage. If you already use Alexa or Google Home, the EC71 integrates with those ecosystems for hands-free viewing on compatible displays.
