Whether you’re caramelizing desserts, finishing a roast, lighting cigars, or operating a portable smoke gun, Jo Chef offers a reliable refill option compatible with a wide range of butane-powered devices.

How do I know this butane is compatible with my torch or lighter?

Jo Chef supplies a universal tip and nozzle adapter that fits most standard refill valves used in kitchen torches, micro torches, cigar lighters, and cocktail smokers. The cartridge is designed to align with common gas inlets so you can refill without specialty fittings.

• Includes a nozzle adapter for secure, mess-free coupling.
• Works with micro torches and standard kitchen torch models.
• Fits many cigar and utility lighters with typical refill valves.
• Sold in multiple pack sizes to match usage frequency.

What performance can I expect from this butane fuel?

This is high-grade, food-grade butane formulated to burn evenly and produce a consistent flame suitable for culinary and bartender applications. Expect reliable ignition, a steady heat output, and cleaner combustion than lower-quality fuels.

• Food-grade formulation for culinary use like crème brûlée.
• Smooth, steady flame ideal for searing and finishing dishes.
• Cleaner burn reduces residue in torch nozzles and devices.

Is refilling safe and easy with Jo Chef cartridges?

Yes—Jo Chef cartridges are designed with user-friendly safety features and the included nozzle adapter simplifies the refill process. Standard safety precautions apply: refill in a well-ventilated area away from open flames and follow the torch or lighter manufacturer’s instructions.

• Nozzle adapter ensures a tight, drip-free connection.
• Safety valve design reduces accidental release during storage and handling.
• Step-by-step refill process compatible with most devices.

Which pack size should I choose and how long does a cartridge last?

Choose based on how frequently you use a torch or lighter. Single cartridges are fine for occasional home use; multi-packs are economical for professional kitchens, frequent searing, or bartenders who use cocktail smokers repeatedly. Burn time varies by torch and flame setting, so higher flame will consume fuel faster.

• Available in single, 2-, 3-, 4-, and 5-cartridge packs to suit different needs.
• Multi-packs offer cost savings and fewer refill interruptions.
• Estimated burn time depends on device output and flame intensity.
