jepwe Solar Bug Zapper 4500V Cordless Mosquito Killer — Solar + USB Rechargeable, Dusk-to-Dawn

jepwe Solar Bug Zapper Outdoor is a cordless, solar-and-USB rechargeable mosquito killer with a 4500V electric grid and automatic dusk-to-dawn operation for insect control across up to 1/2 acre.

This compact yet robust unit combines a 365–395nm UV attractant, a high-voltage grid, and dual charging options to deliver reliable daytime charging and nighttime pest reduction. Built for patios, gardens, campsites and light commercial spaces, the jepwe zapper emphasizes flexible placement, weather resistance, and hands-off operation so you can spend evenings outdoors without constant swatting.

How does the jepwe zapper attract and eliminate flying insects?

The device uses a 365–395nm UV light to lure mosquitoes, moths, flies and other night-active insects toward a 4500V electric grid that delivers an immediate neutralizing shock on contact. The combination of targeted wavelength attraction plus the high-voltage grid produces quick results without chemical sprays.

• 365–395nm UV lamp tailored for flying-insect attraction
• 4500V electric grid for instant neutralizing contact
• Inner collection tray for easy disposal of insect remains

Can I run the zapper off solar only, and what if it's cloudy?

Yes — the unit charges from sunlight via a separate solar panel, and also supports USB charging for cloudy days or indoor use. A built-in rechargeable battery stores energy so the zapper can run through the night after charging.

• Solar panel with 10 ft extension cable for flexible placement
• USB recharge option for guaranteed power on overcast days
• Internal battery provides cordless nighttime operation

How do I place and protect this zapper outdoors?

jepwe includes three placement options — hanging chain, ground stakes, and tabletop use — so you can position the unit where insects congregate. The ABS housing and IPX5 water resistance mean it tolerates rain and humidity, though sheltered placement will extend overall product life.

• 2.6 ft hanging chain for suspension from eaves or hooks
• Two ground stakes for lawn or garden installation
• Durable ABS casing and IPX5 rating for rainy conditions

How large an area does it protect and is it safe to use around people and pets?

EPA registration and a coverage claim up to 1/2 acre make this a fit for medium outdoor spaces like backyards, patios, and small campsites. The zapper uses a physical electric grid rather than chemicals; keep it out of direct reach of children and curious pets and mount it at head height or higher to avoid accidental contact.

• EPA registered design for physical insect control
• Effective coverage up to approximately 1/2 acre under typical conditions
• Recommended mounting height to minimize accidental contact

It suits people who need flexible power options (solar plus USB), weather-resistant construction for year-round outdoor use, and multiple mounting options to adapt to patios, decks, pool areas, or campsites.
