J-B Weld ClearWeld Pro Size is a two-part, clear-setting epoxy that bonds many materials in a five-minute set and cures to a strong, transparent finish.
This professional-size kit contains two 4 oz tubes of the same ClearWeld formula known for fast handling and a nearly invisible finish when applied thin. Mixed 1:1, the epoxy sets in about five minutes and reaches handling cure around one hour, producing a durable bond with 3,900 PSI tensile strength. It’s formulated to work on metal, glass, ceramics, tile, wood, concrete, and many plastics, offering an all-purpose option for repairs, crafts, and light structural fixes.
ClearWeld sets rapidly to allow fast progress on a repair: expect a five-minute set time after mixing equal parts. You can usually handle or lightly stress the joint in about one hour, but full cure strength develops beyond that timeframe depending on layer thickness and temperature.
This epoxy works on a broad range of substrates, making it a versatile choice for household fixes and hobby projects. It creates high-strength bonds on rigid surfaces and fills small gaps when applied correctly and prepared surfaces are clean and dry.
ClearWeld reaches a tensile strength of about 3,900 PSI, providing a strong mechanical bond suitable for many repair scenarios. When applied in thin layers (less than ~15 mil), the cured epoxy dries transparent, minimizing the visual impact of the repair.
Preparation determines the success of the bond: clean, dry and, when possible, lightly roughen surfaces to increase adhesion. Mix equal parts thoroughly and apply within the working window; clamp or support parts during initial set for consistent contact.
Who is this for? J-B Weld ClearWeld Pro Size is ideal for contractors, makers, and homeowners who need a fast-setting, clear epoxy in larger quantities. It suits anyone repairing glass, ceramics, metal or wood, as well as hobbyists who value a near-invisible finish. Avoid relying on it for high-flex joints, continuous underwater use or structural load-bearing beyond its rated strengths without additional mechanical support.
Q: Can ClearWeld be used on plastic?
A: Yes, it bonds many rigid plastics well; test on a small area first for flexible or low-surface-energy plastics.
Q: Is the cured bond transparent?
A: When applied in thin layers under about 15 mil, ClearWeld cures clear and nearly invisible.
