Insoma Outdoor Hose Faucet Timer, 1-Outlet Programmable, IP55 Weatherproof, Rain Delay

The Insoma Outdoor Garden Hose Faucet Timer is a single-outlet programmable sprinkler controller that automates watering schedules with rain delay, manual override, and durable weatherproof construction.

Designed to make yard, garden, and drip irrigation maintenance easier, this battery-powered faucet timer fits most outdoor spigots and controls one watering line. Its clear LCD, straightforward dial-and-button controls, and multiple run modes let you set start times, watering frequencies and durations precisely, while the rain-delay and child-lock features prevent wasted water and accidental changes. Built materials and included fittings make it compatible with common hoses and irrigation systems.

How do I set up a watering program on the Insoma faucet timer?

Programming is done on the large display using a rotating dial and a few buttons. You set the clock, choose how often to water (frequency), how long each run should last (duration), and the start time — or switch to automatic or off.

• Watering frequency: set from every 1 minute up to 23 hours 59 minutes, or choose 1–7 day schedules.
• Watering duration: set each session between 1 minute and 23 hours 59 minutes.
• Start time: choose the hour and minute when cycles begin.
• Auto/Off: enable continuous scheduled operation or switch off when not needed.

What operating modes are available and when should I use them?

The timer offers three modes so you can adapt to changing conditions. Auto follows the program you created; Manual lets you run a temporary watering period without altering saved schedules; Rain Delay pauses scheduled runs for 1–7 days after wet weather.

• Auto mode: runs predefined programs while you’re away or busy.
• Manual mode: start a single watering from 1 minute up to 23 hours 59 minutes without deleting schedules.
• Rain Delay: suspend automatic watering for 1–7 days to conserve water on wet spells.
• Child Lock: prevents accidental button presses from kids or pets.

Will the Insoma timer withstand outdoor conditions and different faucets?

The housing is rated IP55 and includes a sealed battery cover, plus a reinforced connector material that tolerates typical yard water pressures. The package also includes adapters and Teflon tape so it fits many spigot and hose thread sizes and reduces leaks.

• Weather protection: IP55-rated body and sealed battery compartment to resist moisture.
• Pressure tolerance: connector material reinforced with fiber handles typical garden pressures.
• Compatibility: includes a reducing bushing (3/4" Male NPT to 1/2" Female NPT) and thread seal tape for varied fittings.
• Power: uses two AA alkaline batteries (not included) with runtime over six months in normal use.

How does this timer fit into different irrigation setups?

Thanks to its one-outlet design and leak-resistant connectors, the Insoma timer can control a single hose line, drip header, or sprinkler zone. It’s useful for small lawns, planter beds, greenhouse mist lines, or gravity-fed systems where simple automated control is needed.

• Single-outlet control ideal for one zone or drip main line.
• Works with lawn sprinklers, drip irrigation, greenhouse misting, and pool top-off lines.
• Included quick connector simplifies attaching standard garden hoses and fittings.

Who is this for? The Insoma Outdoor Garden Hose Faucet Timer suits homeowners, renters with outdoor spigots, urban gardeners, and small-scale growers who want reliable, programmable watering without wiring or smart-home setup. It’s practical for anyone seeking to reduce manual watering, save water, and maintain consistent irrigation for beds, containers, lawns, or greenhouse systems while keeping installation and operation simple.
