HÜMA CHIA ENERGY GEL Huma Plus Chia Energy Gel Variety Pack, 12 Gels — extra electrolytes & real-food carbs

Huma Plus Chia Energy Gel is a natural, real-food endurance gel that delivers twice the electrolytes of the original Huma Gel, using fruit purees and powdered chia for steady energy and easier digestion.

Huma Plus Variety Pack contains twelve individually packaged energy gels made from fruit purees, powdered chia seeds, and natural electrolytes sourced from sea salt and fruit concentrates. Formulated with a 2:1 glucose-to-fructose ratio and extra sodium, potassium, magnesium and calcium, these gels aim to support sustained carbohydrate uptake during long efforts while keeping ingredients simple and recognizable. Available in caffeinated and non-caffeinated flavors, the pack is designed for athletes who prefer whole-food ingredients over refined sugars and artificial additives.

How do Huma Plus gels provide steady energy without synthetic sugars?

Huma Plus uses a blend of fruit-based carbohydrates plus finely powdered chia seeds to moderate digestion and extend energy release. The 2:1 ratio of short- to long-chain glucose and fructose supports efficient carbohydrate transport into muscles, while chia adds soluble fiber and a touch of protein.

• 2:1 glucose-to-fructose mix for improved carb uptake
• Fruit purees and concentrates as primary carbohydrate sources
• Powdered chia seeds to slow absorption and reduce spikes
• No maltodextrin or isolated dextrose — real-food carbs only

What electrolyte benefits do these gels offer during long workouts?

Huma Plus contains double the electrolytes of Huma’s original gel, delivering about 240 mg sodium plus 50–145 mg potassium depending on flavor, along with magnesium and calcium. Those added minerals help replace what’s lost in sweat and keep fluid balance supported during extended efforts.

• ~240 mg sodium per gel to assist fluid retention
• 50–145 mg potassium depending on flavor for muscle balance
• Supplemental magnesium and calcium for broader electrolyte support
• Electrolytes sourced from sea salt, fruit, and chia — not artificial salts

Will Huma Plus be gentle on a sensitive stomach?

Yes—these gels emphasize whole-food ingredients and omit common irritants like maltodextrin and dairy. Many users report fewer gastrointestinal issues because the gels are made from fruit purees and powdered chia that are easier to digest for some athletes.

• Dairy-free, gluten-free, and vegan-friendly formulation
• No maltodextrin or isolated dextrose — simpler ingredient list
• Chia seeds provide a gentle, stabilizing texture
• Available in low-caffeine and caffeine-free options

How should I use the variety pack during training and races?

The variety pack offers twelve gels across different flavors so you can trial tastes and caffeine levels during practice before race day. Consume one gel about 30–45 minutes into sustained activity and repeat every 40–60 minutes, adjusting for duration, intensity, and personal tolerance.

• Try flavors during training to identify race-day preferences
• Use caffeinated flavors (25 mg) strategically when needed
• Combine with water for optimal absorption and comfort
• Space gels 40–60 minutes apart depending on effort level

Who is this for: Huma Plus Chia Energy Gel Variety Pack is aimed at runners, cyclists, triathletes and endurance athletes who prefer real-food nutrition and want extra electrolytes without synthetic sweeteners. It suits people with sensitive stomachs seeking natural ingredients, those who want to test flavor and caffeine options, and athletes who need a portable, convenient way to manage carbs and minerals during long training sessions or races.
