Hoover Oxy Carpet Cleaner Solution 50 oz — Ocean Breeze scent, oxygen-powered stain removal & odor neutralizer

Hoover Oxy Carpet Cleaner Solution (50 oz) is a fast-acting carpet and upholstery cleaning formula that lifts set-in stains and leaves an ocean breeze scent.

This concentrated carpet shampoo uses oxygen-powered cleaning agents to break down common household stains, reduce odors, and refresh carpets, rugs, stairs and upholstery. The formula comes in a 50-ounce bottle formulated without phosphates, phthalates, or parabens, and is designed to be used with Hoover carpet cleaning machines as well as compatible deep-cleaning devices. Below you’ll find practical answers to the questions shoppers ask most when choosing a carpet cleaning solution.

How does this solution remove tough, set-in stains?

The Oxy action penetrates fibers to loosen dried and colored soils, so dirt and spills rinse away more easily during extraction. It targets organic and dyed messes, allowing your cleaner to lift what ordinary detergents may leave behind.

• Oxygen-based chemistry breaks down stain molecules for easier agitation and extraction.
• Formulated to address red wine, coffee, sauce, and other common household stains.
• Works on both fresh spills and older, set-in discolorations when used as directed.

Will it neutralize odors and leave my home smelling fresh?

Yes — the formula includes deodorizers and an ocean breeze fragrance to reduce pungent smells and impart a clean scent after cleaning. The fragrance is balanced to freshen rooms without overpowering, and the Oxy action helps address odor-causing residues in fibers.

• Ocean breeze scent adds a light, clean aroma post-cleaning.
• Oxy chemistry helps neutralize trapped odor compounds, not just mask them.
• Safe for use across carpeted rooms, area rugs, and upholstery to maintain a consistent scent.

Is this safe for my home and the environment?

Hoover formulates this carpet cleaner solution without phosphates, phthalates, or parabens to reduce certain chemical exposures in the household. Follow label directions for dilution and machine use to ensure effective cleaning and proper rinsing of fibers.

• Free of phosphates, phthalates, and parabens for peace of mind.
• Concentrated size lets you measure and dilute according to your machine’s guidelines.
• Rinse/extract thoroughly to avoid residue build-up on carpet fibers.

Which machines and surfaces are compatible with this product?

The 50 oz formula is formulated for use with Hoover carpet cleaning machines and many other upright or portable extractors that accept liquid carpet shampoo. It’s suitable for wall-to-wall carpeting, area rugs, stairs, and most upholstery fabrics when tested in an inconspicuous spot first.

• Recommended pairing with Hoover cleaners, including ONEPWR cordless and SmartWash+ systems.
• Safe for carpets, rugs, stair runners, and many upholstery textiles (test hidden area first).
• Use manufacturer-recommended dilution and machine settings for best results.

Who is this for? Ideal for homeowners, pet owners, and renters who want a reliable, oxygen-powered solution for tackling everyday stains and odors across carpets and soft furnishings. It suits anyone who uses a portable or full-size carpet extraction machine and prefers a phosphate-, phthalate-, and paraben-free detergent with a light ocean scent. Pair it with a Hoover cleaner for a coordinated cleaning system and more consistent results around the house.
