HiTauing PF-L Carbon Filter Cartridges for PF20/PF30/PF40/PF75 - 15-Pack, 6×4.5 in Activated Carbon & Cotton

HiTauing 15-pack PF-L carbon filter cartridges are replacement filter pads designed to fit PF20, PF30, PF40 and PF75 power filters and reduce debris and odors for clearer aquarium water.

These replacement cartridges combine layered filter cotton with activated carbon in a size tailored for PF-L style chambers (6 in × 4.5 in) and come as a bulk 15-pack so you can maintain fresh filtration on a schedule. They are intended for routine cartridge swapping and simple upkeep without changing your existing filter hardware. The pads are washable before first use and are recommended for rotation every 2–4 weeks depending on bioload.

How do these cartridges fit my PF20/PF30/PF40/PF75 power filter?

The HiTauing PF-L cartridges are cut to the same dimensions used by many PF-series power filters: 6 inches long by 4.5 inches wide, enabling a snug insert into the cartridge chamber. Because the cartridge follows the PF-L footprint, installation is typically a direct swap with the old pad.

• Exact size: 6 in L × 4.5 in W to match PF-L filter chambers.
• Packaged as 15 individual cartridges for scheduled changes.
• Simple drop-in replacement—no modifications needed.

What contaminants do these carbon-cotton cartridges remove?

Each cartridge uses a three-layer approach: a mechanical cotton layer to trap particulates, an internal activated carbon layer to adsorb odors and discoloration, and an outer layer to maintain flow. This combination helps clarify water and reduce common organic byproducts that discolor or smell.

• Mechanical trapping of uneaten food and waste particles.
• Activated carbon for odor and tint reduction.
• Layered construction that preserves flow while capturing debris.

How often should I replace or service these filter pads?

Usage varies with stocking level and feeding, but HiTauing recommends swapping cartridges every 2–4 weeks under normal aquarium conditions. If you notice reduced flow, visible discoloration, or persistent odors sooner, replace the cartridge earlier to maintain water clarity and healthy filtration performance.

• Typical life: 2–4 weeks for average aquariums.
• Change immediately if flow drops or pad appears heavily soiled.
• Rinse new cartridges under cool water to remove dust before first use.

Is installation difficult and are these cartridges reusable?

Installation is straightforward—remove the spent cartridge and slide in a fresh one. While the mechanical layer can be briefly rinsed to remove loose debris, the activated carbon becomes exhausted over time and replacement is recommended rather than attempting long-term reuse.

• Quick swap: pull old pad, rinse new pad, insert.
• Rinse only with cool water; do not use soap or hot water.
• Activated carbon should be replaced as indicated rather than reused.

Who is this product for? These HiTauing PF-L carbon cartridges are intended for aquarium keepers using PF20, PF30, PF40 or PF75 style power filters who prefer bulk replacement packs for routine maintenance. They suit hobbyists who want a straightforward, layered filtration pad to control visible debris and reduce odors without changing equipment. If you run a heavily stocked tank or require specialized chemical filtration (e.g., phosphate or ammonia removal), consider combining these cartridges with other media types tailored to those needs.
