Hill's Science Diet Perfect Weight Small Bites Dry Dog Food — Chicken & Brown Rice for Small Breeds, Controlled Calories

Hill's Science Diet Adult Perfect Weight Small Bites is a chicken-and-brown-rice dry dog food formulated to support healthy weight management in adult dogs while delivering balanced daily nutrition.

Designed for grown dogs that need to shed or maintain a healthy weight, this formula pairs lean protein with controlled calories and natural ingredients. The small-bite kibble fits smaller mouths and helps portion control, while a research-informed recipe supports metabolism and muscle maintenance.

How does this food help dogs reach a healthier weight?

The recipe reduces overall calorie density while keeping a higher proportion of quality protein to help preserve lean muscle during weight loss. It emphasizes ingredients that support healthy metabolism without sacrificing flavor so dogs stay satisfied between meals.

• Controlled-calorie formulation for gradual weight reduction
• High-quality chicken protein to maintain lean muscle
• Balanced fiber mix to promote satiety and healthy digestion
• Clinically studied feeding plan supports visible changes within weeks

Is the kibble suitable for small breeds and picky eaters?

Yes—small, bite-sized kibble is sized for easier chewing by small-breed adult dogs and older pets with smaller mouths. The chicken-and-brown-rice flavor profile aims to be appealing to fussy eaters while delivering complete nutrition.

• Small-bite shape for easy chewing and portion control
• Natural chicken flavor to increase palatability
• Balanced vitamins and minerals for daily maintenance
• Formulated for adult maintenance with weight-focused nutrition

What ingredients and manufacturing standards are used?

The formula uses recognizable, natural ingredients such as real chicken and wholesome brown rice, combined with vitamins and minerals to meet adult canine nutritional needs. Hill's Pet Nutrition applies decades of research and manufactures in the USA using trusted global ingredients.

• Real chicken as a primary protein source
• Brown rice for digestible carbohydrate and texture
• Natural ingredient profile with added vitamins and minerals
• Made in the USA with global-sourced components and quality checks

How should I transition my dog to this food and monitor progress?

Introduce the new food gradually over about a week by mixing increasing amounts of Hill's Science Diet with the current diet to reduce digestive upset. Follow the feeding guidelines on the package, weigh your dog regularly, and adjust portions based on body condition and activity level.

• Mix increasing ratios over 7 days for a smooth transition
• Use on-package feeding chart as starting guidance
• Monitor weight and body condition weekly for adjustments
• Consult your veterinarian if your dog has specific health needs
