Hi-Yield Triclopyr Ester Concentrate Herbicide 8 oz — Lawn Broadleaf Weed Control for Cool-Season Turf

Hi-Yield (35261) Triclopyr Ester 8 oz is a liquid concentrate formulated to target actively growing broadleaf weeds in select ornamental turfgrass.

If you manage lawns composed of perennial bluegrass, perennial ryegrass, or tall fescue and are battling invasive broadleaf species such as oxalis or wild violet, this small bottle delivers a professional-strength option for spot treatments or calibrated lawn applications. The product is a concentrated herbicide, so mixing, timing, and turf compatibility are important for safe, effective results.

How does this product control broadleaf weeds in lawns?

Triclopyr ester acts on actively growing broadleaf plants, disrupting their growth processes when applied correctly. It is designed to be taken up by leaves and transported through the weed so it can suppress established weeds, including common lawn invaders.

• Effective on actively growing annual and perennial broadleaf weeds like oxalis and wild violet.
• For use as a spot treatment or broadcast application when mixed per label directions.
• Works best when weeds are actively growing and not stressed by drought or frost.

Which turfgrasses are safe to treat with this herbicide?

Use this Hi-Yield concentrate only on turf types listed on the label to avoid damage. It is suited for certain cool-season ornamental turfgrasses but can harm many warm-season varieties.

• Approved for perennial bluegrass, perennial ryegrass, and tall fescue ornamental turf.
• Not recommended for Bahiagrass, Bentgrass, Bermudagrass, Centipedegrass, St. Augustine, or Zoysiagrass.
• Always verify turf compatibility and test a small area if unsure.

How should I apply and mix the 8 oz concentrate?

Follow the product label for exact mixing rates and application equipment; improper dilution or coverage reduces control and increases risk to desirable turf. Application varies with target species, turf type, and treated area dimensions.

• Measure and mix according to label instructions for spot or broadcast application.
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment and application tools.
• Adjust spray volume and coverage based on weed density and turf conditions.

What precautions and timing should I consider before treating my lawn?

Timing and environmental conditions influence both safety and effectiveness. Avoid treating stressed turf and follow label directions to reduce off-target impact and turf injury.

• Apply when weeds are actively growing and weather is calm to limit drift.
• Do not apply to listed sensitive grass species to prevent turf damage.
• Read and follow all label directions for reentry intervals, mixing, and disposal.
