Hasbro Gaming The Game of Life family board game — 2-4 players, 6 colored pegs, ages 8+

The Game of Life by Hasbro Gaming is a family board game where players spin, make life choices, and compete to finish with the most cash.

Take a playful tour from Start to Retirement as you move pegs through milestones and surprises. Players decide whether to go to college, get married, grow a family, invest, or take risks that influence their cash total. Action cards and the investment tracker add strategic options so every path feels unique — outcomes depend on choices and a little luck from the spinner.

How do players move and make choices in the game?

Movement is determined by spinning the wheel and advancing that many spaces; many spaces prompt a decision or an action card. Choices affect immediate outcomes and long-term finances, so players weigh risk versus reward while navigating the board.

• Spin to move your peg the number shown on the spinner.
• Stop! Spaces trigger events, decisions, or Action cards.
• Choose paths at crossroads — college or career routes change starting pay and opportunities.
• Decide on marriage, children, and retirement timing to shape final payouts.

What’s the investment tracker and how does it work?

The investment tracker lets players back a number on the board so they earn money whenever that number is spun. It’s a strategic bet that can reward you repeatedly during the game, but it’s not guaranteed — other players can also affect outcomes.

• Pick a number on the investment tracker for potential recurring payouts.
• Earn cash each time anyone spins your chosen number.
• Investing introduces long-term strategy beyond single-turn gains.
• Balancing investments with expenses is key to finishing with the most money.

How long does a typical game take and what ages is it best for?

Game length varies by choices and player count but typically runs a family-friendly session suitable for evenings or weekend play. The recommended minimum age is 8, making it appropriate for older kids and teens playing with adults.

• Designed for 2 to 4 players for a social, competitive experience.
• Estimated playtime depends on how players choose routes and decisions.
• Rules are accessible for ages 8 and up, with strategy that appeals to adults too.
• Good for game nights, family gatherings, and homeschool group activities.

What components come in the box and how do they add to the play experience?
