Hasbro Gaming Operation Electronic Board Game — Portable Carrying Case, Light-Up Nose & 2 Play Modes (Ages 6+)

Operation Electronic Board Game by Hasbro Gaming is the updated classic where players remove silly ailments from Cavity Sam using tweezers, choose Hospital or Emergency mode, and store everything inside an all-in-one carrying case.

The beloved Operation game gets a modern refresh with sound effects, a light-up nose, updated cavities, and two different ways to play for fresh replay value. This edition folds neatly into a durable handled case with an integrated storage drawer, so it’s easy to take to family gatherings, sleepovers, or car trips. Designed for ages 6 and up, the game keeps rules simple while adding new surprises—perfect for kids learning hand‑eye coordination and friendly competition.

How do the two game modes change play?

Hospital mode follows the classic turn-based rules with Bandage cards that instruct which ailment to remove, adding strategy and variety. Emergency mode removes cards and introduces a timed race to extract as many pieces as possible before time runs out, raising the excitement.

• Hospital mode uses Bandage cards to guide moves.
• Emergency mode is a timed challenge for fast play.
• Both modes penalize touching the cavity sides with buzzer sounds or funny reactions.

What updated features make this Operation different?

This version adds first-ever sound effects, a light-up nose, and redesigned cavities (including new shapes) to vary difficulty. Pieces are larger than in past editions, and new ailments like "Glued to His Phone" are included for contemporary humor.

• Sound effects and nose lighting react to mistakes and successes.
• 12 wacky and enlarged ailment pieces for easier handling.
• Reimagined Cavity Sam with fresh artwork and tricky cavity shapes.

How portable and durable is the carry case for travel?

The gameboard folds into a tough, handled case that looks and functions like a doctor’s kit, keeping components safe and organized. A built-in drawer stores ailment pieces and cards so nothing gets lost between plays.

• Folding board converts into a compact carry case with handle.
• Internal drawer secures small pieces and Bandage cards.
• Durable construction suits travel, playdates, and family nights.

What do I need to know about setup and batteries?

Setup is quick: unfold the case, place the ailment pieces, and choose a mode. Emergency mode’s sound and timing require 3 AA 1.5V alkaline batteries (not included), while Hospital mode uses the cards and buzzer effects.

• Requires 3x AA 1.5V alkaline batteries (not included).
• Includes tweezers, 12 ailment pieces, Bandage cards, and instructions.
• Simple setup for 1+ players; typical play sessions last about 10 minutes.

Who is this for? Families and caregivers looking for a familiar, kid-friendly board game with a modern twist will appreciate this Operation edition. It suits kids ages 6 and up who enjoy light strategy, quick reflex challenges, and humorous sound effects. The portable design makes it a solid pick for parents who want a compact travel game, teachers or group leaders needing an engaging activity, and anyone seeking a gift that blends nostalgia with new features.
