Harrison's Bird Foods Nuggies Organic Baked Seed Clusters, 196 g — Wholesome Treats & Training Rewards

These Nuggies combine organic seeds and grains into bite-sized clusters that mimic the texture birds recognize from seed diets, while avoiding corn syrup and artificial additives. Packaged in a convenient 196 g bag, they serve as training rewards, foraging treats, or a gentle bridge when introducing formulated diets. The artisan-baked format makes them easy to break into smaller pieces for tiny birds or offer whole to larger parrorots.

How can Nuggies help when switching a bird from seeds to pellets?

Birds accustomed to loose seeds often accept clustered treats more readily because the texture and visible seeds feel familiar. Use Nuggies alongside the new pellet food so birds associate positive experience with the transition, and gradually reduce extra seeds as pellet intake increases.

• Provide Nuggies while presenting the new diet to encourage tasting.
• Break clusters into small pieces for gradual acceptance.
• Allow free access during initial conversion if recommended by your avian nutritionist.

What sizes of birds are Nuggies suitable for, and how should I portion them?

Nuggies are formulated for a broad range of companion birds—from small budgies and parrotlets to large macaws. Portion size depends on species: tiny birds need very small pieces, while medium and large birds can enjoy whole clusters as treats or training rewards.

• Small birds: offer up to one small piece daily.
• Medium birds: one to three clusters per day as rewards.
• Large birds: two to four clusters or larger portions for training sessions.

Are Nuggies safe and what ingredients and handling tips should I know?

These treats are made from organic ingredients and baked without corn syrup, reducing unnecessary sugars and artificial binders. Always check the ingredient list for potential allergens, keep the bag sealed to preserve freshness, and store in a cool, dry place.

• Made with organic seeds and grains; no corn syrup.
• Suitable as occasional treats and enrichment tools.
• Break into pieces for small birds and supervise new introductions.

How do I use Nuggies for training and enrichment activities?

Nuggies work well for positive reinforcement because they are tasty and easy to handle during sessions. Their compact clusters are simple to offer by hand or hide inside foraging toys to encourage natural behaviors and mental stimulation.

• Use small pieces as quick rewards during training cues.
• Place whole clusters in foraging toys to promote activity.
• Rotate treats with other enrichment to maintain interest.
