Harrison's Bird Foods High Potency Organic Super Fine Mash 1 lb — Certified Organic, High‑Energy for Small Birds

Harrison's High Potency Super Fine Mash is a certified organic, nutrient-dense diet formulated by avian veterinarians and nutritionists for small companion birds.

This 1 lb bag of Harrison's Bird Foods High Potency, Certified Organic Diet in super fine texture supplies concentrated calories and complete nutrition in an uncooked mash. It was created to support birds during transitional periods—such as switching diets, weaning, breeding, recovering from illness, or molting—while remaining non-GMO and made from whole grains and legumes certified organic. The powdery, coarse-textured mash is especially suited to canaries, finches, budgies, parrotlets, cockatiels, lovebirds and other small species that need a high-energy, easily portioned feed.

How does this high-potency mash help when changing a bird's diet?

The aroma and adaptable moisture level of the super fine mash make it easier to introduce Harrison's nutrition to birds that resist nuggets. Its uncooked texture allows gradual mixing with the bird's current food so you can slowly increase Harrison's while monitoring acceptance and stool quality.

• Mix dry or moisten to match familiar textures
• Blend with current feed in increasing ratios over days
• Use small portions for picky eaters to reduce waste

When should I choose the high potency formula for my bird?

Choose this formula for birds needing extra calories or concentrated nutrition: chicks during weaning, breeding adults, birds molting, those recovering from illness, or under one year old. The dense nutrient profile supports energy demands without requiring large serving sizes.

• Weaning chicks: easier intake and digestion
• Breeding and molting: extra calories and nutrients
• Convalescence: concentrated nutrients in smaller amounts

How can I offer this mash—what are the serving options?

This certified organic mash is versatile: serve it dry, lightly moistened, or incorporate it into Harrison’s bird-safe recipes. The uncooked coarse texture permits mixing with approved foods or shaping into hand-feeding consistencies when needed.

• Dry for free-choice or measured portions
• Lightly moistened to emulate soft foods or for picky eaters
• Combine with fresh foods or use in formulated recipes

Is this product appropriate for birds larger than small species?

While formulated for small birds, the mash texture can be portioned and adapted for medium or large companion birds as well. Adjust serving sizes to meet the caloric needs of larger species and consult an avian veterinarian for diet planning when switching across size classes.

• Easy to scale portions for different sizes
• Works as a base or supplement in varied diets
• Consult a professional for long-term feeding plans
