Happi N Pets Cat Scratching Post — 21.6" Vertical Dual-Surface Scratcher with Detachable Toy, Stable 13.8" Base

Happi N Pets Cat Scratching Post is a compact vertical scratcher with both sisal and plush surfaces plus a detachable play pom-pom to protect furniture and engage indoor cats.

This floor-standing scratcher combines a natural sisal-wrapped section and a soft carpeted side on a wide, engineered wood base to accommodate small and medium cats. At 21.6 inches tall with a 13.8" x 13.8" base, it gives cats room to stretch, mark territory, and play while remaining stable in apartments and smaller homes. The included replaceable dangling toy extends interactive play, and the post assembles quickly with only a few components.

How does the dual-surface design help fussy scratchers?

Not every cat has the same preference for scratching texture. One side is tightly wrapped in natural sisal rope for cats that want a rough, durable scratching surface; the other side is covered in plush carpet for felines that favor a softer scratch. Offering two textures increases the likelihood your cat will choose the post over furniture.

• Sisal side: rough, long-wearing fiber that redirects clawing.
• Carpet side: soft surface for rubbing and gentler scratches.
• Dual options: appeals to multiple cats or changing preferences.

Is this scratching post stable enough for active play?

The post sits on a broad 13.8" x 13.8" engineered wood base that lowers tipping risk during vigorous scratching or stretching. Construction materials and weight distribution are chosen to keep the post steady for small and medium-sized cats. If you have a heavier breed, consider the larger 29.5" model for added reach and solidity.

• Wide base provides a steady platform for vertical stretches.
• Engineered wood resists wobble from energetic sessions.
• Designed for kittens and cats up to medium size.

What play features extend engagement and longevity?

A detachable pom-pom toy dangles from the post to stimulate hunting instincts and encourage batting and jumping. Because toys wear out, the package includes a free replacement pom-pom so play continues without interruption. The toy is removable and replaceable, making upkeep simple and affordable.

• Detachable pom-pom encourages batting and ambush play.
• Free spare toy included to replace worn components quickly.
• Toy mounts securely but detaches for easy swapping or cleaning.

How simple is the setup and maintenance?

Assembly takes only a few minutes and requires no special tools: attach the post to the base, add the top piece, and hook on the toy. Materials—natural sisal and heavy-duty carpet—are chosen for durability and straightforward spot cleaning. If the toy frays, swap it with the included spare for immediate return to play.

• Three-step assembly with clear instructions included.
• Spot-clean plush and vacuum carpet fibers when needed.
• Replaceable toy prolongs useful life without full replacement.
