Gymreapers Weightlifting Wrist Wraps 18" Competition Grade (Black) — Heavy-Duty, IPF-Approved Support

Gymreapers 18" Competition Grade Weightlifting Wrist Wraps are heavy-duty, IPF-approved wrist supports designed to stabilize the wrist during powerlifting, bodybuilding, and strength training. These 18-inch wrist wraps were developed with feedback from world champion lifters and IFBB professionals to deliver consistent support without excess bulk. Built from a proprietary elastic blend and reinforced thumb loop, they give a balance of rigidity and flexibility so you can dial in tension for heavy bench, overhead presses, cleans, or any pushing movement. The true-to-size length ensures adequate overlap for secure wrapping while remaining competition legal.

How do these wraps improve my lifts?

The wraps reduce unwanted wrist extension and provide a firm platform for pressing and heavy holds, letting you transfer force more effectively. Because the material holds shape under load, you get reliable support rep after rep instead of elastic that loosens mid-set.

• Firm elastic blend minimizes wrist collapse under heavy load.
• Reinforced thumb loop keeps the wrap anchored for consistent tension.
• 18" length offers greater overlap than short wraps for increased stability.

Are they legal for competition and how long are they?

Yes — these wraps are IPF approved and built to competition standards while remaining practical for training. The 18-inch length provides optimal support without exceeding common competitive limits, so you can use the same pair for both training and meets.

• IPF-approved design tested by elite athletes.
• True 18" length—long enough for firm support, short enough for competition rules.
• Durable stitching and finishes withstand repeated meet use.

How should I wrap them for best support and comfort?

Start by looping the thumb loop, wrap tightly around the wrist joint, then cross over the soft spot behind the forearm and lock off with the hook-and-loop strap. Tighten incrementally until you feel a solid but comfortable restriction; you should still have blood flow and finger mobility for gripping the bar.

• Use the reinforced thumb loop as an anchor point for repeatable wraps.
• Wrap over the wrist crease and under the forearm for compression where it matters.
• Adjust tension between warm-up and heavy sets to prevent circulation issues.

What makes these higher quality than cheap wraps?

Gymreapers builds these wraps from a proprietary elastic that maintains tension under heavy loads and resists stretching out over time. Reinforced edges, robust stitching, and heavy-duty fasteners stop fraying and slippage so the wraps perform reliably across months of training.

• High-grade elastic blend resists permanent sagging.
• Reinforced thumb loop and edge stitching extend product life.
• Strong hook-and-loop closure secures the final wrap under load.

Who is this for? These 18" Gymreapers wrist wraps suit powerlifters, competitive lifters, and serious strength trainees who need consistent wrist stability for heavy presses, benching, and overhead work. They also appeal to bodybuilding athletes aiming to protect their wrists during high-volume pushing movements and to CrossFitters who want a rugged wrap that holds up to varied lifts. If you want competition-approved support that remains dependable set after set, these wraps are built for you.
