Guankai Motion Sensor Stair Lights 8-Pack — Battery-Powered Warm LED Puck Lights for Indoor Stairways & Hallways

Guankai 8 Pack Motion Sensor Stair Light is a battery-powered indoor night light set that automatically lights dark areas when it senses motion in low-light conditions.

These compact motion-activated lights are designed to add safe, soft illumination to stairways, hallways, closets and nurseries without wiring or permanent installation. Each puck-style light uses a frosted diffuser for gentle warm light, activates within a 5–16 ft range at a 120° angle, and runs on three AAA batteries (not included). The set of eight gives flexible placement across multiple steps or rooms so you can create continuous low-level lighting along paths and in small spaces.

How will these lights perform when they detect movement at night?

When the environment is sufficiently dark, the built-in motion sensor turns the light on for about 20 seconds each time motion is detected. The sensor has a broad 120° detection angle and reaches up to roughly 16 feet in optimal conditions, giving reliable coverage for short corridors and staircases.

• Activation range: 5–16 ft, 120° sensing angle.
• Auto-on time: approximately 20 seconds per trigger.
• Operates only in low-light conditions to avoid unnecessary activations.
• Normally open motion sensor — no physical on/off switch.

How bright is the lighting and will it disturb sleep?

These lights produce a soft, warm glow filtered through a frosted shade, intentionally dimmed to illuminate walkways without causing glare or disrupting sleep. They’re intended as pathway markers rather than primary room lighting, so they provide visibility while remaining unobtrusive at night.

• Warm-colored, diffused output for gentle visibility.
• Frosted lens reduces glare for comfortable nighttime use.
• Ideal as safety markers, not as task lighting for reading.
• Compact footprint minimizes visual clutter on steps or walls.

How easy is installation and what power options are required?

Installation requires no wiring: each light adheres with included double-sided adhesive pads so you can mount them on stairs, under cabinets, or inside closets in minutes. Each unit runs on three AAA batteries, and a typical usage period can last up to several months depending on frequency of activation.

• Comes with double-sided adhesive pads for tool-free mounting.
• Battery type: 3 × AAA per light (batteries not included).
• Estimated battery life varies with use; replace when output dims.
• Compact size: 1.57 × 2.55 × 0.70 inches for each light.

Where are these motion sensor lights best used around the home?

The Guankai motion sensor lights work well anywhere you want passive, low-level illumination: staircases, hallways, bathrooms, closets, garages, or nurseries. Because they are wireless and portable, you can reposition them seasonally or move them between rooms as needs change.

• Ideal for stair edges to mark each step for safer navigation.
• Useful in hallways, bathrooms, kitchens, garages and nurseries.
• Great for cabinets or closets where wired lighting is impractical.
• Handy for renters who cannot install hardwired fixtures.

Who is this for: The Guankai 8 Pack Motion Sensor Stair Light set is suited for homeowners, renters, parents of young children, and anyone who prefers hands-free, low-glare nighttime lighting along routes in the home. It’s a practical option for improving nighttime visibility without electrical work — especially helpful for stair safety, dark closets, and creating subtle ambient pathways in multiple rooms.
