Govee Smart RGB LED Strip Lights 16.4ft — Voice & App Control, Music Sync

Govee Smart RGB LED Strip Lights (16.4ft) are programmable, voice-activated LED strips designed to add multicolor accent lighting to rooms, desks, and entertainment spaces.

These 16.4-foot RGB LED strips from Govee combine app control, voice compatibility with Alexa and Google Assistant, and music synchronization to create dynamic accent lighting. With 150 LED beads spaced along the strip, you get smooth, bright color coverage for shelving, TV backlighting, cabinets, gaming setups, or seasonal décor. The kit includes an ETL-listed power adapter, a peel-and-stick adhesive backing plus support clips for a firmer hold.

How do I control the lights without using a remote?

You can operate the strip hands-free through voice commands or the Govee Home app on your smartphone. Link the strip to Alexa or Google Assistant for voice power, color changes, and brightness adjustments. The app adds deeper customization, scene presets, and timers not available through voice alone.

• Voice control via Alexa and Google Assistant for on/off, color, and brightness.
• Govee Home app supports DIY color zones, schedules, and presets.
• Bluetooth/Wi‑Fi connectivity for local and remote control (app-dependent).

Can these lights sync with music, and what does that look like?

The strip features a built-in microphone that reacts to ambient sound and music, producing color shifts and motion that follow the beat. Use the Govee Home app to select music modes or let the microphone-driven effects run automatically for parties, movie nights, or gaming sessions. The result is lively, reactive lighting that highlights rhythms and sound changes.

• On-board mic listens to room audio and drives color changes in real time.
• Multiple music modes available in the app for different visual styles.
• Works with any music source in the room—no special equipment required.

How easy is installation and what surfaces work best?

Installation is straightforward: clean the mounting surface, unpeel the adhesive backing, stick the strip in place, and secure it with included support clips where needed. The adhesive holds well on dry, smooth surfaces like painted walls, metal, glass, and finished wood. Avoid textured or dusty surfaces and keep the strip indoors, as it is not recommended for outdoor exposure.

• Includes strong adhesive tape and five support clips for added stability.
• ETL-listed adapter included for plug-and-play setup.
• Best on clean, dry, smooth surfaces; wipe surface before applying.

What kind of brightness and coverage can I expect from a 16.4ft strip?

The 16.4-foot length contains 150 LEDs, offering solid, even illumination across long runs for accenting counters, TVs, or shelf edges. Colors render vividly and the strip supports adjustable brightness so you can dial down for subtle ambiance or brighten for visible accents. For very large rooms or multiple rooms, additional strips or supplemental lighting may be needed.

• 150 LED beads provide consistent color along the full 16.4ft length.
• Adjustable brightness for soft mood lighting or prominent accents.
• Suitable for TVs, cabinets, gaming desks, and decorative installations.

Who is this for: The Govee 16.4ft Smart RGB LED Strip is aimed at homeowners, renters, gamers, and content creators who want flexible, colorful ambient lighting controlled by voice or an app. It’s a practical choice for people seeking easy installation, music-reactive effects, and broad color customization without complex wiring.
