Gouda Games Mahjong Go! American Mahjong Card Game — 152 Cards, Portable Fast Play

Mahjong Go! converts American-style Mahjong into a fast, portable card game that preserves strategic set-building while cutting setup and play time.

Designed by Gouda Games, Mahjong Go! reimagines the traditional tile-based experience as a 152-card deck with bonus Game Cards, dice, and a QR-linked instruction guide. It keeps the familiar hand-pattern goals of American Mahjong but strips away heavy equipment and lengthy setup so you can play anywhere—from kitchen tables to travel lounges. The rules emphasize pattern completion, tactical discards, and a compact play loop so rounds finish faster while remaining strategically rich.

How does Mahjong Go! keep the essence of American Mahjong?

The game uses card-based equivalents of classic tile groups and American-style hand patterns, so seasoned players will recognize set-making objectives and scoring logic. Game Cards echo yearly or themed hands, offering variety without needing external yearly cards. Play focuses on drawing, discarding, and assembling a valid 14-card hand, mirroring the tactical decisions of the original.

• 152 Mahjong Cards map to familiar suits and honors.
• 4 Game Cards recreate American hand patterns and variety.
• Dice and blank cards add adaptability and randomness control.

What comes in the box and how portable is it?

The faster cadence helps players experiment with strategies more frequently.
