GILMOUR 50' Black Flat Weeper Soaker Hose — Flexible, Clog-Resistant Drip Irrigation

GILMOUR's 50-foot black flat weeper soaker hose delivers slow, even watering directly to plant roots for waste-minimizing garden irrigation.

This flexible soaker hose is designed to place moisture where plants need it most — in the soil around roots rather than spraying foliage or sidewalks. Constructed from 100% recycled vinyl with a clog-resistant fabric jacket, it seeps water through all sides of the fabric cover to maintain steady, low-pressure irrigation across flower beds, vegetable rows, foundation plantings, orchards, and small lawns. Its flat profile makes it easy to lay in tight spaces and simple to roll up for off-season storage.

How does the soaker hose conserve water compared with a sprinkler?

By releasing water slowly at the soil surface, the GILMOUR soaker hose reduces evaporation and runoff that commonly occurs with overhead sprinklers. That targeted delivery encourages deeper root growth and more efficient water use while keeping paths and leaves dry.

• Delivers water directly to the root zone for reduced evaporation.
• Low-pressure seepage minimizes runoff on slopes and compacted soil.
• Can save significant water when used in place of overhead watering methods.

Can I install this hose above ground or bury it, and what are the benefits?

The hose works well both on the soil surface and slightly buried beneath mulch or soil. Above-ground placement is easiest for inspection and adjustments, while shallow burial protects the hose from sun and foot traffic and keeps moisture locked into the root zone.

• Above-ground: quick layout and easy access for adjustments.
• Shallow-buried: reduced UV exposure and improved water retention.
• Suitable under mulch to hide tubing and further reduce evaporation.

How durable and clog-resistant is the fabric-covered hose?

GILMOUR's hose uses a fabric jacket over a recycled vinyl core to resist sediment buildup and provide consistent seepage. The materials are UV-resistant and built for repeated seasonal use, so the hose holds up through gardening cycles when maintained properly.

• 100% recycled vinyl core for durability and environmental benefit.
• Clog-resistant fabric jacket maintains even water distribution.
• UV-resistant construction for extended outdoor life.

How easy is it to customize and store this hose for my garden layout?

The hose can be linked with additional sections to create a bespoke drip irrigation network tailored to beds, rows, or container groupings. Its flat, flexible design rolls up compactly for off-season storage without taking much space in a shed or garage.

• Link multiple hoses to create custom irrigation patterns.
• Flat profile simplifies winding and compact storage.
• Flexible material contours around plants and tight bed edges.
