GermGuardian HEPA Air Purifier for Large Rooms AC4825E — 22" Gray Tower, True HEPA + Activated Carbon, Optional UV-C

The GermGuardian 22" Tower HEPA Air Purifier (AC4825E) is a compact tower unit that filters airborne particles, reduces odors, and circulates cleaner air in rooms from small bedrooms up to large living areas.

This tower-style purifier combines a certified True HEPA filter, an activated carbon pre-filter, and an optional UV-C sanitizing bulb to help lower dust, pollen, pet dander, smoke particulates, and common household scents. Engineered by GermGuardian and independently tested in the USA, the unit is designed for everyday home use: from nurseries and bedrooms to offices and open living spaces. It provides flexible performance with three fan speeds and straightforward maintenance using compatible replacement filters and bulbs.

How quickly will this purifier clean the air in my room?

The AC4825E is sized for regular household use: it refreshes air in a 153 sq. ft. room approximately every 12.5 minutes, and can cycle the air in medium to large rooms (up to 743 sq. ft.) about once per hour. Actual performance depends on ceiling height, layout, and pollutant levels.

• 153 sq. ft. every ~12.5 minutes under typical conditions
• Up to 743 sq. ft. for hourly air circulation estimates
• Three fan speeds let you balance filtration speed and noise

What kind of contaminants will the GermGuardian remove?

This purifier uses a multi-stage system: a pre-filter with activated carbon for odors and larger debris, a True HEPA filter to capture tiny particles, and an optional UV-C bulb for additional airborne particulate management. It does not diagnose or treat health conditions.

• True HEPA filter captures up to 99.97% of particles down to 0.1 microns (initial efficiency)
• Activated carbon reduces cooking and pet-related scents
• Optional UV-C bulb can be installed for additional sanitizing support

Is it simple to operate and keep up with maintenance?

Yes. The tower design has a straightforward control panel with three speed settings including a quieter sleep mode for nighttime use. Filters and UV-C bulbs are user-replaceable; using GermGuardian replacement parts preserves fit and performance.

• Three fan speeds including quiet sleep setting
• Compatible replacement parts: HEPA Filters B (FLT4825, FLT4825SM, FLT4825VO, FLT4850PT, FLT420B), carbon filter FLT22CB4, UV-C bulb LB4000
• Simple cartridge-swapping design for routine maintenance

Are there safety or certification features I should know about?
