General Hydroponics CALiMAGic Quart — Calcium & Magnesium Hydroponic Supplement, Water‑Soluble Concentrate

CALiMAGic Quart by General Hydroponics is a concentrated liquid supplement supplying readily available calcium and magnesium to prevent secondary nutrient deficiencies in fast-growing plants.

Plants that grow rapidly or are heavy feeders can develop calcium and magnesium shortfalls that slow development or cause disorders like blossom end rot and tip burn. CALiMAGic is formulated to deliver those two essential cations in a stable, water-soluble form that mixes into reservoirs, fertigation lines, or foliar sprays without clogging equipment. This quart-sized bottle offers a ready-to-use concentration convenient for hobby and small commercial setups.

How does CALiMAGic support plants during rapid growth?

During periods of fast vegetative or fruiting growth, calcium and magnesium demand rises. CALiMAGic provides these elements in an available form so plants can maintain cell wall integrity and chlorophyll production, reducing the risk of deficiency symptoms under high uptake conditions.

• Supplies calcium for strong cell walls and structural growth
• Provides magnesium to support chlorophyll and photosynthesis
• Formulated to be compatible with reservoirs and many fertilizers

Will CALiMAGic clog my drip emitters or spray lines?

CALiMAGic is designed as a soluble formula that dissolves cleanly and is safe for use in irrigation systems. It won’t precipitate under normal mixing instructions and is commonly used in fertigation and foliar applications without blocking emitters.

• Water-soluble concentrate that mixes evenly in reservoirs
• Safe for drip systems and spray lines when used per directions
• Compatible with many fertilizers to simplify feed programs

How should I use a quart bottle in my feeding routine?

Start by following label directions for dosage based on crop stage and system size. Small reservoirs and hobby systems typically require only a few milliliters per gallon, while larger operations scale proportionally; always test EC and monitor plants after application.

• Add recommended dose directly to reservoir or dilute into spray tank for foliar use
• Check electrical conductivity and adjust base nutrients as needed
• Use regularly during high-demand phases such as fruit set and rapid vegetative growth

What problems does CALiMAGic help prevent in common crops?

CALiMAGic is commonly used on calcium-intensive crops where blossom end rot, tip burn, or other deficiency symptoms appear. When used as part of a balanced nutrient program, it reduces the frequency of those disorders in crops like tomatoes and lettuce.

• Helps prevent blossom end rot in tomatoes and peppers
• Reduces tip burn in leafy greens such as lettuce
• Supports overall fruit quality and plant vigor in calcium-demanding species

Who is this for: CALiMAGic Quart is aimed at hobby growers, small commercial producers, and hydroponic enthusiasts who need a concentrated, easy-to-use calcium and magnesium supplement. It's well suited for greenhouse growers, indoor gardeners, and anyone managing fertigation systems who wants to avoid secondary nutrient deficiencies during peak growth stages. Use alongside a complete nutrient program and routine reservoir monitoring to get the best results.
