GemRed Digital Angle Finder Protractor Stainless Steel 7.5in (200mm) — ±0.3° Accuracy, Locking Ruler

The GemRed 82305 is a stainless-steel digital angle finder and ruler combo that measures inside and outside angles with ±0.3° accuracy and folds to a compact 7.5-inch size.

This compact protractor merges two precision rulers and a digital inclinometer into a single tool for carpentry, metalwork, renovation, and general measuring tasks. Built from corrosion-resistant stainless steel with laser-etched graduations, the 82305 is designed for frequent use and clear readouts. It runs on a CR2032 cell (included), locks at any measured angle for easier reading, and extends to a full 400 mm when opened.

How accurate and reliable is the GemRed 82305 for trim and layout work?

The 82305 delivers precise angle readings with a stated accuracy of ±0.3°, making it suitable for crown molding, stair risers, and fine joinery. The stainless-steel rulers resist wear while the laser-etched markings stay readable over time. Use the locking function to hold a measurement while transferring angles to a saw or template.

• Accuracy: ±0.3° for dependable angle transfers
• Material: stainless-steel rulers resist bending and corrosion
• Markings: laser-etched graduations for long-term visibility
• Locking: secures any angle for repeatable cuts or layouts

What sizes and ranges does the tool cover for measuring tasks?

When folded for storage the unit measures about 7.5 inches (220 mm), and when fully extended the dual rulers reach a combined length of 400 mm (approximately 15.7 inches). The 82305 functions as both a straight ruler and a protractor, so you can measure linear dimensions and angles without switching tools. It supports inside and outside angle measurement thanks to the patented measuring mechanism.

• Folded length: ~7.5 in (220 mm) for compact storage
• Total extended length: 400 mm for longer layouts
• Dual-use: ruler + protractor combination for versatility
• Patented mechanism: simplifies measuring inside/outside angles

How does the display and power work, and are there any limitations?

The digital readout runs on a standard CR2032 battery, which is included with the tool. A locking screw holds the arms steady so the numeric display is easy to read while you record or transfer measurements. Note that this model does not offer a reverse-angle or mirrored-display mode; it shows a direct digital angle reading only.

• Battery: CR2032 cell included for immediate use
• Lock: locks at any angle for hands-free reading
• Display: simple digital angle readout without reverse-angle mode
• Maintenance: replace CR2032 as needed to keep display active

Who is this best for? The GemRed 82305 is aimed at tradespeople, hobby woodworkers, DIY renovators, and anyone who needs a durable, accurate angle-measuring tool that doubles as a ruler. Its stainless-steel construction and laser-etched scales suit demanding job-site use, while the compact folded size makes it convenient to carry in a toolbox or apron. If you want a straightforward digital protractor with reliable accuracy and a locking mechanism for repeatable transfers, the 82305 is a practical choice.
