FURWEY Play Sand for Kids — 6.6 lb Natural Brown Sensory Sand, Moldable & Reusable

FURWEY Play Sand is a non-toxic, moldable sensory sand in a natural brown shade that stays reusable and holds shapes for hands-on creative play.

This 6.6-pound tub of FURWEY natural brown play sand offers the tactile feel of damp beach sand without the mess of water. Made from safe, tested ingredients that meet ASTM F963‑23 and CPSIA standards, the sand is specially formulated to clump and sculpt while remaining easy to scoop, press, and reshape. It’s designed for small-group sensory activities, at-home crafting, and classroom play where durability and cleanliness matter.

How does FURWEY Play Sand feel and behave during play?

The texture resembles wet sand: soft, slightly clumping, and easy to mold, yet it’s dry to the touch and does not leave the usual gritty residue. It compresses into firm shapes and pulls apart smoothly, making it enjoyable for squeezing, rolling, and stamping.

• Natural brown color that hides small messes and looks like real beach sand
• Clumps together for clear edges and detailed molds
• Remains reusable—won’t dry out like water-based sand
• Easy to clean from hands and surfaces with a quick rinse

Is FURWEY Play Sand safe for kids and classrooms?

This formula is produced to meet U.S. toy safety standards and has been lab-tested for restricted phthalates, heavy metals, and lead to ensure compliance. Although it’s non-toxic, the sand is not edible; standard supervision and simple hygiene—washing hands after play—are recommended.

• Tested to ASTM F963‑23 and CPSIA requirements
• Certified by a CPSC‑recognized lab for key safety markers
• Not intended for ingestion; adults should supervise young children
• Wash hands or use gloves for users with very sensitive skin

What creative activities and learning benefits does it support?

FURWEY Play Sand encourages open-ended play that develops fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and imaginative thinking. From simple scooping and filling to detailed molding and scene-building, the sand supports both solo exploration and collaborative projects.

• Perfect for molding shapes, building scenes, and sensory exploration
• Supports small-group play, classroom centers, and party activities
• Helps strengthen finger dexterity through pinching and rolling
• Compatible with play tools, molds, and add-on accessories

How do I store and care for the play sand to keep it reusable?

Keep the sand in its container or an airtight bin when not in use to preserve texture and prevent contamination. In warm conditions the binder may soften slightly; rinsing hands before play and returning unused sand to its tub will maintain consistency.

• Store in the original tub or a sealed plastic container
• Cool, dry storage avoids softening in high heat
• Rinse hands before and after play to reduce stickiness
• Keep away from pets and small children who might mouth objects

Who is this for? FURWEY Play Sand is aimed at families, preschools, and activity leaders seeking a clean, durable sensory medium for children ages 3 and up (with supervision for younger children). It’s ideal for parents who want a reusable alternative to messy beach sand, teachers building sensory stations, and gift-givers looking for a creative present that encourages tactile learning and hands-on imagination.
