FURWEY Kids Play Sand 17.6 lb — 8-Color Reusable Sensory Sand, Non-Toxic Sculpting Set

FURWEY Play Sand is a reusable, non-toxic sensory sand set in eight bright colors designed for kids to shape, sculpt, and reuse without drying out.

Bring tactile play home with a 17.6 lb kit of colored moldable sand that matches the look and flow of wet beach sand while remaining dry to the touch. Each hue is individually packed for convenient storage and mixing, and the formula is tested to meet US safety standards. The set is built for creative play—sculpting, sensory exploration, classroom activities, and group games—while keeping cleanup quick and simple.

How does this sand feel and behave during play?

The sand has a soft, slightly clingy texture that compacts and holds shapes like wet sand but won’t actually stay damp. It flows easily through hands for scooping, pinching, and squeezing while allowing detailed molds to keep their form for display or continued play.

• Feels like wet beach sand but stays dry to the touch.
• Clings together for clean, precise molding and sculpting.
• Easy to scoop, shape, and crumble for sensory feedback.
• Won’t leave gritty residue when handled normally; rinses off skin easily.

Is this product safe for children and certified?

Yes — the formula is non-toxic and has been tested in a CPSC‑recognized lab to meet ASTM F963‑23 and CPSIA requirements, showing no restricted phthalates or heavy metals and lead well below limits. Despite the safety testing, the sand is not edible and hand washing after play is recommended for all users.

• Meets ASTM F963‑23 and CPSIA safety standards.
• Lab-tested with no restricted phthalates or heavy metals detected.
• Not intended for ingestion; supervise young children as needed.
• Hand washing reduces any minor skin stickiness; gloves optional for sensitive users.

How easy is it to store, reuse, and mix colors?

Each color arrives in its own sturdy bag so you can keep unused sand fresh and organized. The sand is formulated to be reusable — it won’t dry out — and different colors blend readily for DIY combinations and layered projects.

• Eight individually packaged colors for tidy storage and portion control.
• Reusable composition that maintains texture over repeated play sessions.
• Mix colors together to create custom shades and multi-color designs.
• Works with molds, scoops, and toy tools for classroom or party use.

What should I expect for cleanup and seasonal care?

Cleanup is straightforward: sand brushes or scoops back into containers and any residue rinses off skin with warm water. In hot conditions the binder can soften slightly and feel stickier; washing hands before play or storing in a cool place will reduce that sensation.

• Dries out less than traditional craft clays — reusable without special sealing.
• Rinses off skin easily with water; not permanently adhesive.
• Avoid prolonged high heat exposure to limit mild seasonal stickiness.
• Suitable for indoor tables, trays, sensory bins, and classroom stations.

Who is this for: FURWEY Play Sand is ideal for parents, early-education teachers, therapists, and caretakers seeking a safe, hands-on material that encourages fine motor development, creativity, and calm sensory play. It works well for solo imaginative sessions, collaborative classroom activities, birthday party stations, and gift-giving occasions where long-lasting, low-mess tactile fun is desired.
