FROG @ease Test Strips for Hot Tubs & Swim Spas — 60 Count (2×30) • SmartChlor + pH, Alkalinity, Hardness

FROG @ease Test Strips are a 60-count test kit made to quickly check SmartChlor, pH, total alkalinity, and hardness for hot tubs and swim spas using the FROG @ease system.

Keep your spa water balanced without guesswork: these strips are formulated specifically for the FROG @ease sanitizing system and give clear, easy-to-read color matches so you know when to change cartridges or adjust water chemistry. Each bottle contains 30 strips, and this listing includes two bottles (60 strips total) to help you test regularly. The strips save time compared with multi-step test kits because one color readout indicates SmartChlor levels and separate pads indicate pH, alkalinity, and hardness in seconds.

How do these test strips tell me when to replace my FROG @ease SmartChlor cartridge?

The strip’s SmartChlor pad is tuned to the FROG @ease mineral-and-chlorine balance and changes color to match the included chart, signaling cartridge depletion. Unlike general-purpose strips, the SmartChlor indicator is calibrated for the cartridge chemistry so you get a direct cartridge-replacement cue rather than interpreting generic chlorine ranges.

• One-step color match for SmartChlor cartridge status
• Designed specifically for FROG @ease mineral and chlorine levels
• Faster decision-making: replace cartridge only when indicated
• Reduces unnecessary cartridge swaps and waste

What water values do these strips measure and why are they helpful?

The strips measure total alkalinity, pH, and total hardness in addition to SmartChlor. Monitoring these three parameters helps you maintain comfortable, clear water and prevents scale or corrosion that can affect spa equipment. Quick readings make weekly checks practical so small adjustments can be made before issues escalate.

• pH: shows acidity/alkalinity balance for comfort and sanitizer effectiveness
• Total alkalinity: helps stabilize pH to avoid wide swings
• Total hardness: identifies calcium levels to prevent scale buildup
• Weekly testing recommended for consistent water care

How fast and simple is the testing process?

Testing takes only a few seconds: dip a strip, remove it, and compare the pads to the printed color chart. There’s no mixing or waiting for reagents, so the strips are ideal for busy owners who want reliable checks before weekend use. The clear color blocks reduce interpretation errors common with complex kits.

• Dip and read in seconds—no reagents or waiting time
• Color chart printed on the bottle for immediate comparison
• Compact bottle design keeps strips dry and portable
• Recommended minimum: test once per week

Will these strips work for any hot tub or only FROG @ease systems?

These strips are formulated specifically for FROG @ease systems and their SmartChlor chemistry; they provide the most accurate cartridge guidance when used with FROG @ease. While the pH, alkalinity, and hardness pads give general readings for any spa, the SmartChlor indicator is unique to the FROG @ease sanitizing method and may not match other chlorine systems.

• Best accuracy with FROG @ease mineral-and-chlorine cartridges
• General pH/alkalinity/hardness readings usable on other spas
• Not optimized for non-FROG chlorine formulations
• Manufactured by FROG, backed by water-care experience

Who is this for: These FROG @ease Test Strips suit hot tub and swim spa owners using the FROG @ease system who want a fast, low-effort way to monitor SmartChlor cartridge life and basic water balance. They’re ideal for busy households, seasonal spa users, and anyone who prefers a straightforward color-match method over multi-step titration kits. Regular testing with these strips helps protect spa equipment and keeps water comfortable and clear.
