FLITZ Brass & Copper Tarnish Remover Spray — 16 oz No‑Rub Cleaner, Fast‑Acting Organic Formula

FLITZ Instant Brass and Copper Tarnish Remover is a no-rub, fast-acting spray that lifts tarnish, oxidation, rust, and surface stains from brass, copper and multiple other surfaces in seconds.

Built in the USA with advanced German-sourced ingredients, this 16oz spray is formulated to dissolve surface corrosion and staining without aggressive acids or abrasive scrubbing. It’s intended for use on non-patina finishes and a wide range of materials, providing a quick cleanup step before finishing with a polish to extend shine and protection.

How quickly will FLITZ remove tarnish and stains?

In many cases you’ll see visible improvement within 30 seconds of application, especially on light to moderate tarnish and oxidation. Heavier corrosion may require repeated application and a brief dwell time, followed by rinsing or wiping to reveal the cleaned surface.

• Visible results often under 30 seconds on surface tarnish
• Repeat applications for heavy oxidation or rust spots
• Spray, wait briefly, then rinse or wipe—no scrubbing required for most jobs

What materials can I safely use this spray on?

This formula is made for brass and copper but also works on aluminum, glass, painted surfaces, fiberglass, stucco, brick and porcelain—essentially many non-living, non-patina finishes. Avoid use on intentionally patinated pieces, living tissues, or surfaces the manufacturer warns against.

• Safe for brass, copper, and many non-patina metals
• Also effective on glass, aluminum, porcelain and painted or masonry surfaces
• Not intended as a protective polish—follow with a metal polish for lasting protection

Is this product harsh or safe for indoor use?

FLITZ Instant Tarnish Remover uses natural organic salts and avoids harsh acid-based chemistry, making it gentler than many traditional metal strippers. Its no-rub spray action reduces mechanical abrasion, but always ventilate indoors and test a small hidden area first for compatibility.

• Formulated with organic salts rather than strong acids
• Gentle spray application—less abrasive than scrubbing or scouring
• Recommended: test small area and ventilate when used indoors

Who is this for: This spray is ideal for homeowners, restorers, jewelers, and property managers who need a fast, convenient way to remove tarnish and surface stains from brass, copper and assorted surfaces before polishing. It’s also suited to workshops and businesses that prefer a USA-made cleaner with performance-driven ingredients and straightforward use instructions.
