Flemoon Outdoor Electrical Box Large 12.5x8.5x5 in — IP54 Weatherproof, Fits Power Strips & Timers

Flemoon Large Outdoor Electrical Box is a weatherproof enclosure that keeps outdoor plug connections, timers, power strips and adapters dry and secure with an IP54-rated seal.

Whether you’re powering holiday inflatables, a backyard fountain, or outdoor security gear, this heavy-duty cover provides a dedicated, lockable space to protect electrical connections from rain, splashes, and dust. Built to meet UL50/UL50E and CSA C22.2 standards, the box combines generous interior room with versatile cord entry ports and straightforward mounting for reliable seasonal or year-round outdoor use.

How does this box protect outdoor cords and plugs?

The Flemoon box uses a compression-sealed lid, rubber gaskets, and four secure clips to form an IP54 barrier against water spray and dust. It keeps the connection point elevated and enclosed, preventing accidental dislodging and reducing exposure to the elements.

• IP54-rated protection: resists splashing water and limited dust ingress.
• Rubber gasket and four snap clips for a tight closure.
• Dual mounting holes to secure the box to walls or posts.
• Keep cables parallel to ground as recommended for best seal.

What devices and cord sizes fit inside the enclosure?

Large interior dimensions accommodate common outdoor power accessories such as power strips, surge protectors, timers, adapters and multi-plug connectors. Six cord entry ports accept thicker cords up to 12AWG/3C or 12mm diameter, so heavier-duty cables and flat wires fit without strain.

• External size: 12.5 x 8.5 x 5 inch; inner usable space: 12 x 7.4 x 3.9 inch.
• Six entry ports for multiple cables, compatible with 12/14/16 gauge cords.
• Room for large plug heads, timers, and power strips.
• Use single cable per port for best waterproof performance.

Is the box easy to install and use on a patio or yard?

Yes — installation is straightforward and requires only standard screws to mount via the built-in holes. The clamping clips allow quick access to the internals for plugging/unplugging, and internal cable clamps help organize cord routing while keeping the seal intact.

• Fast wall or post mounting with dual holes; hardware not included.
• Four exterior clips for quick open/close access without tools.
• Internal cord clamps secure wires and prevent pull-out.
• Designed to hang or sit horizontally; avoid vertical placement.

What precautions should I follow for safe outdoor use?

The enclosure improves outdoor safety but is not intended for submersion or as a replacement for proper outdoor-rated equipment. Follow straightforward usage tips to maintain the seal and avoid overloading or improper cable routing.

• Do not submerge or bury the box; keep it above ground and level.
• Limit one cable per port and route cords parallel to the ground.
• Do not assume full waterproofing for heavy immersion or pressure washing.
• Product ships as the empty box only; cords and devices pictured are not included.

Who this is for: Homeowners, holiday decorators, landscapers and contractors who need a roomy, standards-compliant enclosure to protect outdoor electrical connections will find this Flemoon box useful. It’s suited for seasonal lighting, pool and fountain equipment, outdoor heaters, security cameras, and any situation where a tidy, weather-resistant connection point extends the life and reliability of outdoor power arrangements.
