Flame King 1LB Refillable Propane Cylinder Twin Pack — 16.4 oz Steel Tanks, DOT‑Certified Reusable Camping Canisters

Flame King 1LB refillable propane cylinders are durable, DOT-certified 16.4 oz tanks designed to be refilled at home and reused instead of throwing away single-use canisters.

These twin 1LB (16.4 oz) empty propane cylinders offer a legal, transportable alternative to disposable tanks and fit appliances that accept standard 1 lb bottles. Made from high-grade steel, each tank features a patented refill valve and meets DOT and TC requirements with X-ray and hydrostatic testing. They’re powder-coated for long-term exterior protection and UL1769-listed, intended to be refilled from a 20 lb BBQ cylinder using Flame King refill accessories (sold separately).

How does refilling these tanks work?

Refilling is done at home by connecting the Flame King refillable 1LB cylinder to a standard 20LB BBQ tank using the appropriate refill adapter or refill kit. The process is straightforward when you follow the manufacturer’s video instructions and safety steps.

• Requires Flame King refill adapter or refill kit (not included).
• Connect to a filled 20 lb barbecue tank for transfer.
• Follow safety video and valve tightening steps using included Allen keys.
• Designed for backyard refilling only, not for commercial fill stations.

Will these cylinders work with my camping gear and heaters?

Yes — these refillable 1LB bottles are compatible with most devices made to accept standard 1 lb propane canisters, such as portable stoves, heaters, and grills. Always confirm appliance specs before use.

• Fits popular brands like Mr. Heater, Weber, and Coleman-style connectors.
• Interchangeable with appliances that take single-use 1 lb tanks.
• Complies with DOT transport rules for refillable cylinders.
• Valve and thread design built to UL1769 safety standards.

What safety features and certifications do these tanks have?

Flame King 1LB refillable cylinders are manufactured from heavy-gauge steel and subjected to X-ray and hydrostatic testing. The valve is UL1769-listed, and the cylinders carry DOT and TC (Canada) certifications for long-term use and legal transport.

• High-grade steel shell with powder-coat finish for corrosion resistance.
• X-ray and hydrostatic tested during production for integrity.
• DOT certified for 12 years (10 years in Canada) lifespan.
• Includes caps and Allen keys for secure valve access and maintenance.

How do these cylinders help reduce waste and save money?

By replacing disposable single-use tanks, these refillable cylinders cut landfill waste and lower recurring purchase costs. One refillable bottle can replace many disposable canisters over its certified service life.

• Eliminates repeated purchases of throwaway 1 lb tanks.
• Refill at home from your existing 20 lb BBQ cylinder.
• Durable build extends usable life across many refill cycles.
• Includes two tanks so you can keep a spare charged and ready.

Who is this for? Outdoor enthusiasts, frequent campers, tailgaters, and homeowners who use portable propane appliances and want a legal, safer, and more sustainable alternative to disposable 1 lb cylinders. These are ideal if you already own a 20 lb BBQ tank and want the convenience of backyard refills, or if you’re looking to cut recurring costs and reduce single-use waste while maintaining compatibility with common camping stoves and heaters.
