Filtrete 20x25x1 Air Filter MERV 13 (MPR 1900) 2-Pack — 1" Pleated HVAC Filters, High Airflow

Filtrete 20x25x1 MERV 13 (MPR 1900) is a two-pack of 1" pleated HVAC filters engineered to trap microscopic and large household particles while maintaining higher airflow than other residential MERV 13 1" filters.

These Filtrete filters combine a high MPR 1900 rating with a MERV 13 classification and proprietary 3-in-1 media to capture a wide range of particles — from pet dander and pollen to many microparticles in the 0.3–1.0 micron range — without overly restricting airflow. Sold as a two-pack of 1-inch pleated filters designed for furnaces, air conditioners, and home HVAC systems, they’re intended for routine residential use with a recommended replacement cadence of every 90 days.

How does this filter balance filtration and airflow?

The Filtrete MPR 1900 media is engineered to trap very small particles while allowing more air to pass compared with other retail 1" MERV 13 options. That balance helps the HVAC system run efficiently while still removing many common airborne particles.

• High MPR 1900 media with Filtrete 3-in-1 technology for microparticle capture
• MERV 13 rating for effective capture of submicron and larger particles
• California Energy Commission data indicates superior airflow for this 1" MERV 13 class

What kinds of particles can it capture in a home environment?

This filter targets a broad spectrum of contaminants: fine microparticles like smoke and many bacteria-sized particles, plus visible allergens such as pollen, pet dander, and dust. It’s designed to reduce the load of airborne irritants that commonly circulate in residential HVAC systems.

• Microparticles between 0.3–1.0 microns, with a significant capture rate
• Common allergens: pollen, lint, dust, pet dander
• Smaller airborne particles including some smoke and bacteria-sized aerosols

How often should I change the Filtrete 20x25x1 filter and how can I remember?

For typical residential use, replace the 1" pleated filter every 90 days to maintain performance and airflow. The Filtrete Smart App can simplify scheduling by scanning the barcode and sending reminders at 30, 60 or 90-day intervals.

• Recommended change interval: at least every 90 days
• Use the Filtrete Smart App to scan the barcode and set replacement reminders
• Choose reminder cadence of 30, 60, or 90 days in the app

Will this filter work in my furnace or air conditioner without straining the system?

Yes — this Filtrete product is designed for residential furnaces and central HVAC units where 1" pleated filters are specified. Its media provides higher airflow relative to comparable retail MERV 13 1" filters, helping avoid unnecessary strain when installed correctly.

• Intended for 1" filter slots in furnaces, air handlers, and central AC systems
• Higher airflow among retail MERV 13 1" options reduces resistance on the system
• Always check your HVAC manufacturer’s specifications before upgrading filter ratings

Who is this for: Homeowners and renters who want stronger particle capture than standard fiberglass filters but still need a 1" filter that preserves system airflow. It’s a good fit for households with pets, seasonal pollen exposure, or those seeking an asthma- and allergy-friendly certified option while keeping up with routine, easy maintenance using app reminders.
