Filtrete 20x24x1 HVAC Air Filter 6-Pack MERV 5 (MPR 300) Pleated Electrostatic — 3-Month Dust & Lint Defense

This six-pack from Filtrete (3M) provides a ready supply of 1-inch pleated filters sized to fit common 20x24x1 slots (actual dimensions 19.81 x 23.81 x 0.81 in). Engineered with charged fibers, these filters draw in and hold many larger particles as air circulates through your furnace or air conditioner. Designed for routine home use, each filter is intended to be replaced about every three months, depending on household conditions.

How does the Filtrete MPR 300 filter household dust and lint?

The filter uses electrostatically charged media that attracts both positively and negatively charged particles, increasing the capture of dust, lint and visible debris each time air passes through. Its pleated construction expands surface area so more particles stick without restricting normal airflow.

• Electrostatic fibers pull in charged particles like dust and lint
• Pleated design increases filtration surface area for longer life
• MPR 300 and MERV 5 ratings target larger particles common in homes
• Single-inch thickness fits most standard 20x24x1 slots

Will these filters affect my HVAC performance or energy use?

When replaced regularly, these filters help prevent buildup inside the HVAC system, which can keep fans and heat exchangers running efficiently. They are engineered to balance filtration and airflow so typical systems can operate without added strain under normal conditions.

• Designed for standard residential furnaces and air conditioners
• Helps reduce internal dirt accumulation on coils and motors
• Recommended replacement every 90 days to maintain efficiency
• Compatible with Filtrete Smart App reminders for timely swaps

What size and fit information should I check before buying?

Although called 20x24x1, these filters list an actual manufactured dimension of 19.81 x 23.81 x 0.81 inches — check your unit’s required size and frame tolerance before installing. The product is intended for standard one-inch filter slots used in many residential HVAC systems.

• Nominal size: 20x24x1; actual size: 19.81x23.81x0.81 in
• Pack of six keeps spare filters on hand or covers multiple units
• Fits conventional filter rails used in furnaces and AC units
• Single-inch thickness suitable for typical household setups

How often should I change Filtrete pleated filters?

Filtrete recommends replacing the filter about every three months; however, high-traffic homes, pets, or dusty environments may need more frequent changes. Use the Filtrete Smart App to set reminders for 30-, 60- or 90-day intervals if you prefer scheduled swaps.

• Standard guidance: replace every 90 days for normal conditions
• Change sooner if you have pets, smoke, or live in dusty areas
• Smart App alerts help maintain timely replacement cycles
• Keeping extras from the six-pack avoids last-minute runs
