Filtrete 20x24x1 Air Filter MERV 11 (MPR 1000) 2-Pack — 3-Month Pleated Filters for Allergens & Pet Dander

These Filtrete filters from 3M combine a high-efficiency media and pleated design to trap particles such as pet dander, smoke, pollen, lint and many microparticles commonly found in indoor air. Rated MPR 1000 and MERV 11, they strike a balance between effective filtration and consistent HVAC performance for typical home heating and cooling systems. The filters are one inch thick (actual size 19.68 x 23.68 x 0.81 in) and intended for scheduled replacement every three months; the Filtrete Smart App can help you track those change intervals.

How does this Filtrete filter improve household air quality?

This MPR 1000 filter is built to pull and retain a broad range of airborne particles as air passes through your furnace or air conditioner. It does not alter your HVAC system but reduces the number of particulates recirculated in living spaces.

• Captures microparticles (0.3–1.0 microns range) along with larger debris like pollen and lint.
• Pleated media increases surface area for longer filtration life between changes.
• MERV 11 performance helps lower the load of common indoor contaminants.
• Certified asthma and allergy-friendly for suitability in sensitive homes.

Will this filter fit my furnace or air conditioner?

The pack contains two 20 x 24 x 1 nominal filters (actual 19.68 x 23.68 x 0.81 in) suitable for most residential HVAC return grilles and slot-style filter housings that accept 1-inch filters. Always verify the existing filter size and airflow direction before installation.

• Nominal size: 20x24x1 — check your filter compartment label or manual.
• Actual dimensions printed on product for precise fit confirmation.
• One-inch thickness compatible with standard furnace and AC filter slots.
• Replace every 90 days or more often in high-dust or pet-heavy homes.

How often should I replace Filtrete MPR 1000 filters and can I track changes?

Filtrete recommends replacing these pleated filters at least once every three months for typical residential use. If you have pets, smoke exposure, or high pollution levels, swap them more frequently to maintain airflow and filtration efficiency.

• Standard replacement interval: every 90 days for average conditions.
• Shorten interval if you notice visible dirt buildup or reduced airflow.
• Use the Filtrete Smart App to scan the barcode and set 30/60/90-day reminders.
• Regular changes help preserve HVAC efficiency and indoor comfort.

Does this filter affect HVAC airflow or efficiency?

These MERV 11 filters are designed to balance particle capture with maintained airflow for most residential systems. Using the correct size and replacing the filter on schedule helps prevent undue strain on the blower and keeps system performance steady.

• Pleated design increases filtration surface without excessive resistance.
• MERV 11 is suitable for many homes while preserving normal system airflow.
• Timely replacement avoids pressure drop that can reduce HVAC efficiency.
• Consult your HVAC manual if your system requires a different MERV rating.

Who is this for? Homeowners and renters looking for a reliable, mid-to-high-efficiency 1-inch HVAC filter will find this Filtrete 2-pack well suited to everyday indoor environments.
