Filtrete 18x20x1 Air Filter MERV 11 (MPR 1000) — 4-Pack, 3-Month Pleated Filters for Allergens & Pet Dander

Filtrete 18x20x1 MERV 11 (MPR 1000) air filters are pleated 1" HVAC filters sold in a 4-pack that help capture common household particles like pet dander, pollen, and smoke while maintaining reliable airflow for 90-day use.

This four-pack of Filtrete replacement filters (actual size 17.68 x 19.68 x 0.81 in) uses Filtrete 3-in-1 media and a MERV 11 / MPR 1000 rating to trap a broad range of particles without overly restricting airflow. Designed for use in furnaces, air conditioners and standard HVAC systems, each pleated, 1-inch filter is intended for seasonal replacement — typically every three months — to keep your system running efficiently and indoor air cleaner. Filtrete is a well-known brand backed by filtration testing and is commonly used in homes to reduce airborne dust and allergens.

How does this Filtrete filter balance filtration and airflow?

The filter media is pleated to increase surface area so it can capture many particles while allowing proper air movement through HVAC systems. The MERV 11 rating indicates higher capture of fine particles than standard low-MERV filters, but the 1-inch depth and engineered frame preserve usable airflow for most residential units.

• Pleated design enlarges filter surface for better particle retention without excessive pressure drop.
• MERV 11 / MPR 1000 targets microparticles in addition to larger debris like lint and pollen.
• Compatible with typical home furnaces and central air systems when using 1-inch filter slots.

Which particles will these filters capture in my home?

Filtrete MPR 1000 filters are made to trap a mix of particle sizes: from larger dust and pet hair to smaller airborne matter such as pet dander, smoke particulates and some smog components. They also capture common allergens like pollen and household dust, helping reduce the visible and invisible particles circulating in conditioned air.

• Collects lint, hair, and visible dust to reduce buildup inside ducts and equipment.
• Captures pollen, mold spores and many allergy-causing particulates.
• Helps remove certain smoke and fine particles down to the microparticle range.

How often should I replace these filters and can I get reminders?

Each filter is designed for roughly 90 days of typical use; households with pets, smokers, or high dust loads may need to replace filters more frequently. Filtrete offers a smart app that scans the product barcode so you can set 30-, 60- or 90-day reminders and get a notification when it’s time to change the filter.

• Recommended replacement interval: every 90 days under normal conditions.
• Use shorter intervals (30–60 days) with heavy pet dander, smoke, or high allergen seasons.
• Filtrete Smart App available for barcode scanning and automatic replacement alerts.

Will this filter fit my HVAC system and how do I choose the right size?

The packaged size is marketed as 18x20x1, while the actual filter measures 17.68 x 19.68 x 0.81 inches — a standard 1-inch depth designed for common residential filter slots. Always check your furnace or air handler’s filter compartment for the required nominal size, and confirm the 1-inch thickness is supported by your housing.

• Nominal size: 18 x 20 x 1; actual dimensions printed on packaging for accuracy.
• Intended for standard 1-inch filter slots in furnaces and central air systems.
• Package contains four filters to cover roughly 12 months of typical operation when changed quarterly.

Who is this for: Homeowners and renters who want a reputable, mid-to-high performance disposable HVAC filter that reduces common indoor particles like dust, pollen and pet dander while maintaining reliable airflow. It’s a practical choice for those seeking seasonal maintenance simplicity, app reminders, and a brand-backed filtration option for furnaces and central air systems.
