Filtrete 16x25x4 Air Filter MERV 12 (MPR 1550) 2-Pack — Pleated Electrostatic, Fits 4.31in HVAC Systems

Filtrete 16x25x4 MPR 1550 is a high-efficiency pleated HVAC filter (actual size 15.88 x 24.56 x 4.31 in) sold as a 2-pack and designed to reduce airborne particles in home heating and cooling systems.

These 4-inch Filtrete furnace and AC filters use Filtrete 3-in-1 electrostatic media to trap a broad range of airborne debris while maintaining airflow for most residential HVAC systems. With an MPR 1550 and MERV 12 performance level, the filters target both larger allergens like pollen and lint and many smaller particles such as smoke and some bacteria-sized particles. The pack is sized to fit systems calling for a 4.31-inch thickness and lists compatibility with many common brands, making it a practical upgrade for yearly filter replacement.

How effective is this filter at removing everyday household particles?

The Filtrete MPR 1550 filter captures a wide spectrum of common indoor contaminants without severely restricting air movement. Testing against industry standards shows it removes a significant portion of small particles while also trapping larger dust and pet hair.

• Performance: Rated MERV 12 and MPR 1550, effective on pollen, dust, lint, and many smaller particles.
• Particle capture: Captures up to about 50% of very small particles in ASHRAE 0.3–1 micron testing ranges.
• Electrostatic action: Pleated, electrostatic media increases particle capture for both fine and coarse contaminants.
