Filtrete 16x25x1 MERV 11 Air Filter — 2-Pack (MPR 1000), 3-Month Pleated HVAC Filters for Allergens & Pet Dander

Filtrete 16x25x1 MERV 11 (MPR 1000) air filters are a two-pack of pleated 1-inch HVAC filters designed to trap allergens, pet dander and many microparticles while maintaining reliable airflow for 3 months.

These Filtrete filters from 3M combine a MPR 1000 rating with MERV 11-level performance to remove a wide range of household particles — from visible dust and pollen to smaller particles like smoke and pet dander — without overly restricting your HVAC system. Each filter measures 15.68 x 24.68 x 0.81 inches (actual) and is intended for typical furnace, air conditioner, or whole-home HVAC filter slots, with recommended replacement every 90 days. The filters also integrate with the Filtrete Smart App for easy replacement reminders by scanning the barcode on the package.

How does this Filtrete filter balance particle capture and airflow?

The pleated media is engineered to trap many particle sizes while letting conditioned air move efficiently through your system. A MPR 1000 / MERV 11 combination increases capture of smaller particles without the heavy airflow resistance of higher-MERV industrial filters.

• Pleated 1-inch design for increased surface area and longevity
• MPR 1000 rating targets microparticles in the 0.3–1.0 micron range
• MERV 11 performance for improved capture of dust, pollen, pet dander, and smoke
• Maintains reliable airflow for standard residential furnaces and AC units

What kinds of airborne particles will it capture in a home with pets?

This Filtrete filter helps reduce common pet-related particles that circulate through HVAC systems, improving perceived air cleanliness and reducing redistributed fur and dander. It’s not a substitute for cleaning, but it lowers the load of pet-origin particles moving through the vents.

• Captures pet dander and some hair fragments before they spread through ducts
• Helps trap lint and larger debris that carry allergens
• Reduces particles that can settle on furniture and surfaces
• Works best combined with regular vacuuming and grooming routines

How often should I change the Filtrete 16x25x1 MERV 11 filter?

For typical residential use, replace the filter every 90 days to maintain effectiveness and airflow. If you have heavy pet shedding, smokers, or high local pollution, check the filter every 30–60 days and replace sooner if visibly dirty or airflow is reduced.

• Standard recommendation: replace at least every 90 days
• High particle environments: inspect monthly; replace at 30–60 days as needed
• Use the Filtrete Smart App to set 30/60/90-day reminders via barcode scan
• Regular replacement supports HVAC efficiency and indoor comfort

Will this filter work in my furnace, air conditioner, or HVAC slot?

Yes — the filter fits standard 1-inch filter housings that accept 16x25x1 nominal filters; actual dimensions are 15.68 x 24.68 x 0.81 inches. Verify your furnace or HVAC slot accepts 1-inch pleated filters before purchasing to ensure a proper seal and performance.

• Designed for 1-inch filter slots in furnaces, AC units, and HVAC systems
• Actual size listed for accurate fit: 15.68 x 24.68 x 0.81 inches
• Two filters per pack give six months of standard coverage if rotated every 90 days
• Easy installation: slide in following airflow arrow on the frame

Who this is for: homeowners and renters who want an upgrade from basic fiberglass filters, households with pets or seasonal allergies seeking improved particle capture, and anyone who wants a reliable, easy-to-install 1-inch HVAC filter with app-assisted change reminders. This two-pack offers routine replacement convenience and is suited for typical residential systems that require 16x25x1 filters without sacrificing consistent airflow.
