Filtrete 16x25x1 Air Filter MPR 700 (MERV 8) 4-Pack — Pleated Electrostatic, 3-Month Replacement

Filtrete 16x25x1 MPR 700 (MERV 8) 4-pack is a pleated, electrostatically charged HVAC filter designed to trap lint, pollen, dust and pet dander while letting conditioned air flow efficiently through your furnace or air conditioner.

If you want a straightforward replacement filter that balances particle capture with airflow, this Filtrete 3-month pleated set provides reliable filtration for everyday homes. Each filter measures approximately 15.68 x 24.56 x 0.78 inches (actual size) and is rated MPR 700 — equivalent to a MERV 8 performance level — meaning it captures common household particles more effectively than basic fiberglass or washable filters.

How does this filter improve everyday indoor air quality?

The electrostatic pleated media creates a gentle attraction that helps capture airborne particles as air cycles through your HVAC system. It doesn’t remove everything in the air, but it reduces the concentration of visible and microscopic particles that commonly contribute to dust buildup and seasonal irritants.

• MPR 700 rating targets lint, pollen, dust and pet dander.
• Pleated design increases surface area to trap more particles per pass.
• Electrostatic charge enhances capture without dramatically restricting airflow.

How often should I replace these 1-inch Filtrete filters?

Filtrete recommends swapping the 1-inch pleated filters every 90 days under normal household conditions. Homes with pets, smokers, or heavy dust may need replacement more often, while lightly used systems can sometimes extend between changes — always follow HVAC manufacturer guidance.

• Standard recommendation: replace every 90 days.
• High particulate homes: consider 30–60 day intervals.
• Use the Filtrete Smart App barcode scan to set reminders for 30, 60 or 90 days.

Will these filters fit my system and affect airflow?

These filters are sized to fit standard 16x25x1 slots; actual dimensions are 15.68 x 24.56 x 0.78 inches to ensure correct fit in most residential HVAC housings. Their pleated, electrostatic construction aims to trap more particles while maintaining adequate airflow for typical home furnaces and air conditioners, but always check your system’s specifications.

• Actual size listed for precise fitting into 16x25x1 housings.
• Pleated media balances particle capture with airflow for most systems.
• Not suitable as a direct replacement for nonstandard or high-efficiency systems without confirming compatibility.

What features make this Filtrete filter different from basic disposable or washable types?

Filtrete combines pleated media with an electrostatic charge and the brand’s 3-in-1 media design to capture a wider range of particle sizes than flat fiberglass or reusable washable filters. The product also carries both MPR and MERV indicators so you can compare capture performance with other filters more easily.

• Electrostatic pleats outperform non-electrostatic disposable and washable filters.
• 3-in-1 media helps trap particles while permitting airflow.
• MPR 700 provides a clear performance benchmark alongside MERV 8 equivalency.

Who this is for: homeowners and renters seeking an easy, cost-effective way to reduce common airborne particles in everyday living spaces. This 4-pack suits households that run central heating or cooling routinely and want straightforward, quarterly replacements. Choose this Filtrete set if you need a balance of particle capture and airflow compatibility without upgrading to a higher-efficiency (and higher-cost) filter type.
