Filtrete 16x25x1 Air Filter MERV 13 (MPR 1900) — 2-Pack Pleated HVAC Filters, High Airflow for Allergens & Microparticles

Filtrete 16x25x1 MERV 13 (MPR 1900) air filters are pleated 1-inch HVAC filters engineered to capture microscopic particles, allergens, bacteria-carrying aerosols and larger debris while maintaining higher airflow than other retail MERV 13 options.

Designed by 3M under the Filtrete brand, these two replacement filters (actual size 15.62 x 24.62 x 0.78 in) combine a high MPR 1900 rating with Filtrete's 3-in-1 media to trap a wide range of airborne contaminants without overly restricting your furnace or air conditioner's airflow. They are intended for residential furnaces, air conditioners and HVAC systems and are suggested to be replaced every 90 days for optimal performance. Use the Filtrete Smart App to set replacement reminders by scanning the barcode and selecting a 30-, 60- or 90-day cadence.

How does this Filtrete filter balance filtration and airflow?

The media in this MERV 13, MPR 1900 filter is engineered to pull in and retain both microscopic and larger particles while preserving higher airflow than competing retail MERV 13 1" filters. That helps your HVAC equipment run efficiently while still filtering fine particulates.

• High MPR 1900 rating for enhanced particle capture.
• Filtrete 3-in-1 technology targets microparticles and larger debris.
• Listed as having the highest airflow among residential retail MERV 13 1" filters based on claimed data.
• Pleated design increases surface area to reduce resistance.

What types of particles will this filter capture in my home?

This filter is built to trap a broad spectrum of airborne materials—from common allergens like pollen and pet dander to smaller respirable particles that can carry bacteria or virus-sized aerosols. It also collects household dust, lint and some smoke particulates.

• Microparticles (0.3–1.0 micron) with a substantial capture rate.
• Common allergens: pollen, mold spores, pet dander and dust.
• Household particulates: lint, dust and some smoke residues.
• Helps reduce particles that can transport bacteria and viruses.

How often should I replace the Filtrete 16x25x1 MERV 13 filter?

Filtrete recommends replacing the pleated 1-inch filter at least every 90 days for typical residential use. Homes with pets, smokers, high dust loads or occupants with sensitivities may benefit from more frequent changes.

• Standard guideline: replace every 90 days.
• Consider 30–60 day intervals for high particle loads or allergies.
• Use the Filtrete Smart App to scan the barcode and set reminders.
• Timely replacement helps maintain airflow and HVAC efficiency.

Is this Filtrete filter certified or recommended for allergy concerns?

This Filtrete filter is certified asthma and allergy-friendly and noted for capturing both visible allergens and many microparticles. It was also selected by trusted reviewers for filtering ultrafine particles while minimizing impact on system performance.

• Certified asthma and allergy-friendly designation on record.
• Recognized by independent reviewers for balancing capture and flow.
• Rated MERV 13 and MPR 1900 for strong particulate capture.
• Recommended for residential HVAC systems only.
