Filtrete 16x25x1 Air Filter MERV 11 (MPR 1000) 4-Pack — Pleated Electrostatic, 3-Month HVAC Replacement

Filtrete 16x25x1 MERV 11 (MPR 1000) is a pleated, electrostatically charged HVAC filter sold as a 4-pack that captures household allergens and pet dander while maintaining reliable airflow for 3-month replacement intervals.

This Filtrete 3-in-1 technology filter combines pleated media and an electrostatic charge to attract and trap a wide range of airborne particles. It carries a Microparticle Performance Rating (MPR) of 1000 and a MERV 11 classification, designed to capture both larger debris like lint and pollen and smaller microparticles such as smoke and some bacteria-sized particles. Packaged as four 1-inch filters sized at an actual 15.68 x 24.68 x 0.81 inches, the set is intended for routine use in residential furnaces, air conditioners, and compatible HVAC return slots.

How does this filter remove common household allergens?

The Filtrete filter uses oppositely charged fibers that act like tiny magnets to pull particles from the airflow as air cycles through your system. This electrostatic attraction improves capture of particles that non-electrostatic fiberglass or washable filters often miss, helping lower the concentration of airborne irritants.

• Captures pet dander, pollen, dust-mite debris, and mold spores.
• MPR 1000 and MERV 11 performance for microparticles down to the 0.3–1.0 micron range.
• Pleated media increases surface area for better particle retention.
• Electrostatic fibers draw in both positively and negatively charged particles.

Will this filter affect my HVAC airflow or energy use?

Filtrete designs these 1-inch pleated filters to balance filtration and airflow so your heating and cooling system can run efficiently. When changed on the recommended schedule, they help prevent excess dirt buildup on coils and fans, which can reduce strain on the blower motor and preserve system performance.

• 1-inch pleat depth compatible with most residential housings.
• Regular 90-day replacement minimizes pressure drop and motor strain.
• Electrostatic attraction captures particles without overly dense media.
• Using a smart-app reminder helps keep replacements timely for consistent airflow.

How often should I replace these Filtrete filters and how long will a pack last?

Filtrete recommends swapping the filter at least every 90 days under typical conditions; households with pets, smokers, or elevated dust may need more frequent changes. A 4-pack provides a year of coverage at the three-month interval for a single filter slot.

• Standard recommendation: replace every 3 months (90 days).
• High-contamination homes may require 30–60 day intervals.
• Pack of four equals approximately 12 months of protection for one filter location at 90-day cycles.
• Use the Filtrete Smart App to set replacement reminders by scanning packaging barcode.

What systems and situations are these filters suitable for?

These filters are intended for residential HVAC return vents, furnaces, and air conditioning systems that accept 1-inch pleated filters. They are a practical choice for households seeking improved capture of allergens and pet-related particles while maintaining reliable system performance.

• Fits furnaces, central air handlers, and many HVAC return grilles sized 16x25x1.
• Good fit for homes with pets, seasonal pollen, or moderate indoor pollution.
• Certified asthma and allergy-friendly for supportive household use.
• Not a replacement for medical devices or high-efficiency hospital-grade filters.
