Filtrete 16x20x1 Furnace/AC Air Filter 4-Pack — MPR 700 (MERV 8), 1-Inch Pleated Electrostatic for Pollen & Pet Dander

Filtrete 16x20x1 MPR 700 filters are electrostatically charged 1-inch pleated furnace/AC filters that capture lint, pollen, pet dander and other common particles while maintaining good airflow for up to 90 days.

These Filtrete filters use an electrostatic pleated media engineered to attract and retain particles that non-electrostatic or washable filters often miss. Sold as a 4-pack, each filter is rated MPR 700 (equivalent to MERV 8) and sized to fit standard 16 x 20 x 1 openings (actual 15.688 x 19.688 x 0.78 in). They are designed for routine HVAC protection and indoor air improvement without substantially impeding system airflow when replaced on schedule.

How do these filters improve my home’s air quality?

The electrostatic charge in the pleated media helps draw in airborne particles and hold them inside the filter rather than letting them pass through. Over repeated cycles, more dust, pollen and pet dander are removed from the circulated air, reducing visible buildup on surfaces.

• Electrostatic pleats capture finer particles than basic fiberglass or washable screens
• MPR 700 / MERV 8 rating balances particle capture with airflow
• Pleated design increases surface area for longer effective life

Will using Filtrete MPR 700 filters affect my HVAC performance?

These 1-inch filters are engineered to minimize resistance while still trapping common household particles, so normal operation of your furnace or air conditioner is preserved when filters are replaced every 90 days. Routine replacement prevents excessive loading, which is what can strain a system.

• Recommended change interval: up to 90 days for 1-inch filters
• Balanced MERV 8 rating keeps good airflow for most residential systems
• Four filters in the pack simplify scheduled replacements

How do I keep track of filter change intervals?

Filtrete integrates with the Filtrete Smart App so you can scan the packaging barcode and set a reminder schedule for 30, 60 or 90 days. This helps ensure timely swaps and consistent filter performance without guesswork.

• Scan barcode in app to start a countdown
• Choose 30, 60 or 90-day replacement reminders
• Receive push notifications when it’s time to change filters

What particles will these filters capture?

Rated MPR 700 and MERV 8, these pleated filters trap many everyday airborne contaminants such as larger dust, pollen, lint and pet dander. They are not medical-grade and are intended for general residential use to reduce common particulate levels.

• Catches household dust, pollen and pet dander effectively
• Helps reduce visible debris on surfaces and in ducts
• Outperforms basic fiberglass, washable and non-electrostatic filters

Who is this for: Homeowners and renters looking for an affordable, reliable way to lower common airborne particles in living spaces without major impact on HVAC airflow. These Filtrete 16x20x1 MPR 700 filters suit families with pets, allergy-prone residents seeking reduced pollen exposure, or anyone wanting a straightforward replacement schedule using the Filtrete Smart App. If you require higher filtration (for microscopic allergens or medical needs), consider higher MPR/MERV options; otherwise, this 4-pack is a practical, widely compatible choice for routine home HVAC maintenance.
