Filtrete 14x25x1 HVAC Air Filters — MPR 300 (MERV 5) 6-Pack, 3-Month Pleated Electrostatic for Dust & Lint

Filtrete 14x25x1 MPR 300 is a six-pack of pleated, electrostatic HVAC filters (actual size 13.81" x 24.81" x 0.81") designed to capture household dust, lint and large airborne particles while helping your furnace and AC run efficiently.

These Filtrete filters use electrostatically charged fibers to attract and trap particles that ordinary fiberglass or washable one-inch filters miss. Rated MPR 300 and MERV 5, they focus on removing larger particles like dust, pollen and pet dander from the air that cycles through your home heating and cooling system. Sold as a pack of six 3-month pleated filters, this product keeps replacements handy so you can maintain consistent airflow and system efficiency.

How does the electrostatic design improve capture of dust and lint?

The filter media carries both positively and negatively charged fibers that draw in oppositely charged particles, acting like tiny magnets. This boosts capture efficiency for common household particulates without significantly restricting airflow.

• Electrostatically charged fibers attract particles as air passes through.
• Pleated construction increases surface area for more capture per filter.
• Targets larger particles such as lint, dust mite debris and pollen.
• Designed to balance filtration with typical HVAC airflow.

Will these filters fit my 14x25x1 HVAC slot and how do the actual dimensions matter?

Filtrete lists these as 14x25x1 nominal size, while individual filters measure 13.81" x 24.81" x 0.81" — a standard practice to ensure a snug fit in common housings. Check your system slot and confirm there’s a small clearance so the filter mounts securely without bending.

• Nominal size: 14x25x1; actual size: 13.81" x 24.81" x 0.81".
• Fits most residential furnace and AC filter tracks designed for 14x25x1 filters.
• Replace with the same actual dimensions to maintain proper sealing and airflow.

How often should I replace Filtrete MPR 300 filters and why?

These are rated as 3-month pleated filters under typical home conditions; changing them quarterly helps keep your system efficient and maintains consistent particle capture. Heavy dust, pets, or allergy seasons may shorten useful life, so check filters monthly and replace when visibly loaded.

• Standard recommendation: replace every 90 days for average homes.
• Replace sooner if you have pets, smokers, renovation dust, or allergies.
• Use Filtrete Smart App reminders for 30/60/90-day replacement alerts.

What equipment and situations are these filters best suited for?

The Filtrete 14x25x1 MPR 300 filters are intended for typical residential furnaces, air conditioners and whole-home HVAC systems that accept 1-inch pleated filters. They help reduce visible dust and protect HVAC components by trapping larger airborne debris before it reaches the system.

• Designed for standard residential HVAC, furnace, and AC filter slots.
• Good choice for homes seeking basic dust and lint reduction (MERV 5 range).
• Sold as a six-pack — convenient for multi-zone homes or scheduled replacements.

Who is this for? Homeowners and renters with standard 14x25x1 filter slots who want an affordable, easy-to-replace filter that reduces household dust, lint and pollen while helping maintain HVAC efficiency. If you need higher capture of fine particulates or allergens, consider higher-MPR/MERV options; otherwise Filtrete MPR 300 offers reliable, low-resistance filtration for routine maintenance and cleaner indoor surfaces.
