Filtrete 14x24x1 HVAC Air Filter MERV 11 (MPR 1000) — 2-Pack, 90-Day Pleated Filters for Allergens & Pet Dander

Filtrete 14x24x1 MERV 11 (MPR 1000) is a two-filter pack of 1" pleated HVAC filters designed to reduce household allergens and microparticles while maintaining reliable airflow for 90-day use.

These filters from Filtrete by 3M combine high-efficiency media and pleated construction to trap both visible debris and finer airborne particles. Rated MPR 1000 and MERV 11, they are intended for use in furnaces, air conditioners and standard HVAC return slots. Each filter measures approximately 13.68 x 23.68 x 0.81 inches actual size and is sized nominally 14x24x1, giving a balance of filtration and system compatibility for many residential systems.

How does this filter improve home air quality?

The Filtrete MPR 1000 media captures a broad range of particles, from large dust and lint to smaller pollen, pet dander, smoke and smog particulates. Its pleated design increases surface area so more contaminants get trapped without drastically restricting airflow. While not a medical device, the filter helps reduce the number of airborne irritants that circulate through your HVAC system.

• Captures microparticles in the 0.3–1.0 micron range compared to MERV 11 minimums.
• Pleated media increases filtration surface for longer life within the 90-day recommendation.
• Certified asthma and allergy-friendly for households concerned about triggers.

Will this filter fit my furnace or air conditioner?

The pack is labeled 14x24x1 nominal but the actual filter frame measures about 13.68 x 23.68 x 0.81 inches, so it fits systems that accept that nominal size or slightly smaller actual dimensions. Always check your existing filter frame or owner’s manual to confirm compatibility before purchase. Installing the wrong size can reduce effectiveness or strain your HVAC fan.

• Actual dimensions provided to match common residential return slots.
• Intended for standard 1-inch filter housings in furnaces and air conditioners.
• Works as a drop-in replacement for many systems that list 14x24x1 filters.

How often should I replace these filters and how can I remember?

Filtrete recommends replacing the filter every 90 days under typical home conditions to keep filtration efficient and airflow stable. Homes with pets, smokers, or high pollen may need more frequent changes—check the filter visually every 30–60 days. You can also scan the barcode into the Filtrete Smart App to set reminders at 30-, 60- or 90-day intervals.

• 90-day baseline replacement interval for normal household use.
• Visually inspect every 30–60 days in higher-pollution homes.
• Use Filtrete Smart App barcode scan for automated change alerts.

Does choosing a MERV 11 filter impact HVAC performance?

MERV 11 provides elevated particle capture while still allowing sufficient airflow in most residential systems designed for 1" pleated filters. Proper installation and timely replacement are key to avoiding added strain on the blower. If your system manufacturer specifies a lower or higher MERV, follow their guidance to maintain warranty and optimal system operation.

• MERV 11 balances finer filtration with acceptable airflow in many homes.
• Follow system manufacturer recommendations when selecting filter MERV ratings.
• Replace as recommended to reduce pressure drop and maintain efficiency.
