Filtrete 12x24x1 Air Filters 6-Pack MPR 300 (MERV 5) – 1" Pleated Electrostatic, 90-Day

Filtrete 12x24x1 MPR 300 is a six-pack of 1-inch pleated electrostatic furnace and AC filters that trap large airborne particles and help maintain cleaner home air for up to 90 days per filter.

These Filtrete filters use an electrostatically charged, pleated media rated MPR 300 (approximately MERV 5) to capture household dust, lint and pollen while allowing adequate airflow for most standard HVAC systems. Sold as a pack of six, each panel is built for seasonal replacement every three months under typical home conditions and fits systems specifying a 12x24x1 nominal size.

How does the electrostatic design work in everyday use?

The filter media carries both positive and negative charges that attract oppositely charged particles — like tiny magnets — improving capture of common large and some mid-sized airborne contaminants. This mechanism enhances performance compared with plain fiberglass or non-electrostatic washable filters without substantially restricting airflow in compatible systems.

• Electrostatic fibers draw in lint, dust, and pollen from passing air
• Pleated construction increases surface area for longer life and particle holding
• Designed for 90-day replacement under normal household conditions

Will these filters fit my furnace or air conditioner?

Each Filtrete filter in the pack is made for HVAC systems that accept 12x24x1 nominal filters; the exact manufactured size is 11.69" x 23.69" x 0.81". Always check your equipment’s required filter size and airflow recommendations before installing to ensure proper fit and system performance.

• Intended for standard residential furnaces, central AC units, and HVAC housings
• Exact dimensions printed on packaging for verification
• Pack of six supplies multiple changes or coverage for several locations

What particles and situations is this MPR 300 filter best for?

With an MPR 300 and roughly MERV 5 performance, these filters are optimized to trap larger particles such as household dust, pet hair clumps, dust mite debris, and pollen. They improve general indoor air cleanliness and help keep surfaces dust-free longer but are not designed as high-efficiency allergen or smoke filters.

• Excellent for routine household dust and seasonal pollen reduction
• Not intended as a medical-grade or high-efficiency smoke filter
• Good choice for homes seeking balanced filtration and airflow

How often should I change these filters and how do they affect system efficiency?

Filtrete recommends replacing each filter every 90 days under normal conditions. Regular replacement prevents buildup that can reduce airflow and strain HVAC components, helping maintain efficiency and extend system life when used as directed.

• Replace every three months or sooner in dusty or pet-heavy homes
• App reminders available via the Filtrete Smart App for maintenance scheduling
• Fresh filters reduce dirt load on coils and motors, supporting efficiency

Who is this for: Homeowners and renters with standard residential HVAC systems who want an affordable, easy-to-install filter that improves everyday indoor air cleanliness. Choose this Filtrete 6-pack if you need reliable seasonal replacement filters that capture common household particles while preserving airflow and supporting routine system maintenance.
